Itinerary of your trip 4 Days 3 Nights Inner Delta Mokoro Safari( Budget)

  • Day 1 Day 1: Okavango- Nxaraga Lagoon
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Okavango- Nxaraga Lagoon

      Leave Maun at 8:00 am on a motorboat through Thamalakane River then up to Boro River. You will spend 45 minutes passing the rural areas after that cross the Buffalo fence and enter the wildlife section of Okavango Delta. Take a few hours there and create time for bird watching while navigating the reed channels to your way up to the Chiefs Island. A light lunch of cold meats ad salad will be served on your route. You will arrive at our camp, the Nxaraga lagoon at around 3 pm. Check-in and rest at the shade for a couple of hours before taking a 1 hour guided game walk to stretch your legs. Return before sunset to enjoy the hippos from the boat in the middle of Nxaraga lagoon. Back before dark for a warm bucket of the shower and a well-cooked dinner. Retire to your tent for night at own pleasure to the sounds of Okavango.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Okavango Delta
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2: Okavango Delta

      Rise at 5:30 am for a three hour morning walk which you will be accompanied by anyone willing. You will be served with coffee or tea and rusk before the walk. Other than the plain game walk, you will also have a great chance to spot the elusive leopard and the bushbuck on their prowl. Back the camp for a full English breakfast. Leave Nxaraga at around midday and stop for a quick splash in the shallows near the sandbank to cool off. Then continue upstream game viewing, and on this stream of the river, there is a great chance to find elephants easing the midday heat. You will have a light lunch on the way.
      Arrive at our camp, the Xaxaba Campsite at around 3 pm. Check-in and rest at the shade for a couple of hours before taking a 1-2 hour guided game walk to stretch your legs. Back before dark for a warm bucket of the shower and a well-cooked dinner. Retire to your tent for the night at own pleasure to the sounds of Okavango most probably including the lions on Chiefs Island.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Mokoro Cruise
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 3: Mokoro Cruise

      Wake up at 6:00 and be served with either coffee or tea and rusks. This meal will be prepared for those who want something small before the Mokoro trip. Precisely at 7 am leave for a boat ride to Xaxaba village to meet with the Mokoro polers. With your guide, take a 3-hour cruise down the uncharted channels with open motorboats and walk on less accessible islands. Back at 11 am to full cooked brunch and leave at 1 pm, make your way past the jugu- Jugu Island to spend the afternoon game viewing and watching the birds from the boat. This is one of the spectacular views that Okavango offers best. The vast area plains are home to crocodiles, semi-aquatic antelopes, and the birds. Return before dark for a warm bucket of shower and a well-cooked dinner. Retire to your tent for the night at own pleasure

  • Day 4 Day 4: Okavango Delta- Departure
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 4: Okavango Delta- Departure

      Rise at 5:30 am for a two hour morning walk which you will be accompanied by anyone willing. You will be served with either coffee or tea and rusk before the walk. Back the camp for a full English breakfast. Later at 10 am take a seven-hour boat trip back to Maun using where possible alternative channels. The end of the services, we wish you save travel to the rest of your journey
