Day 1: Arrive in Lhasa(3680m)

Stop At: Great Tibet Tour, No.23, Row 11, Zhaji Unit 5th Alley, Zhaji Residential Quarter, Zhaji E Rd, Lhasa 850000 China
After arriving in Lhasa, you will meet your tour guide at the airport or the train station. Greeting with each other, you will be driven to your hotel directly. Take a good sleep and make yourself adapt to the high altitude.

Day 2: Lhasa Tour

Stop At: Drepung Monastery (Zhebang Si), Southern Slope of Genpeiwuzi Mountain, Chengguan District, Lhasa 850000 China
After enjoying your breakfast, you will have the opportunity to discover some of the famous attractions in Lhasa city. There are three great Gelug monasteries of Tibet, and today you will visit two of them. The first site is the Drepung monastery which is about 45 kilometers in the north of Lhasa. After lunch, your tour guide will take you to visit the other one - Sera Monastery. As the home to more than 600 monks, Sera Monastery attracts thousands of travelers because of the hold of the hot Buddhism debate. Usually, you can witness the interesting sight at around 3 - 5 in the afternoon, except weekend. Then, you will enjoy a welcome dinner served by local Tibetans.

Day 3: Lhasa Tour

Stop At: Potala Palace, No.35 Gongqian Alley, Beijing Middle Road Cheng Guan District, Lhasa 850000 China
Wandering in the warm sunlight in the morning, now you are standing in front of the landmark of Lhasa city - Potala Palace. In the past, Potala Palace was used as the winter palace for Dalai Lama. At present, it has become a modern museum which collects thousands of traditional Tibetan antiques and items. It is the best place to learn about its history. After having lunch, your tour guide will take you to visit the holy Jokhang Temple. Built in the seventh century, Jokhang Temple is regarded as the most sacred temple in Tibet. The highlight of the Jokhang Temple is the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve. Barkhor Street is one of the busiest streets in Lhasa where you can buy some interesting and traditional Tibetan souvenirs.

Day 4: Lhasa- Gyantse โ€“ Shigatse

Stop At: Karo La Glacier, Provincial Road S307, Nagarze County 851100 China
Today, your tour guide will drive you to Shigatse from Lhasa city. Along the way to Shigatse, there is a holy lake namely Yamdrok Lake where the natural scenery is stunning and attractive. It is said that travelers can get rid of all the sins and miseries when they are rinsed by the water in this lake. Then, you will have a glance at the crystal Karola Glacier on the way to Gyantse. Besides that, you will have a chance to visit the Pelkor Chode Monastery in Gyantse.

Day 5: Shigatse -Tingri -Rongpuk โ€“EBC

Stop At: Rongbuk Monastery, near North Everest Base Camp, Tingri County China
After having a good rest in Shigatse, you will set out to a small town namely Lhatse. The whole distance is about 150 kilometers while the scenery on the way is really impressive. Snow mountains, zigzag routes, blue sky, and bright sun makes the trip more dreamy. It is time to have lunch when you arrive in Lhatse. Just a simple but traditional Tibetan food can delight the environment around you. Take a nap and head to the next destination - Tingri. After enjoying Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve and Gawula Pass. You nearly arrive at EBC. Today, we will take an unforgettable experience camping on EBC. Here, you will be astonished by the sunset of Mt Everest.

Day 6: EBC-Saga

Stop At: Peikucuo Lake, Cha'na Country, Nyalam County 858300 China
We will explore another place namely Saga from EBC after enjoying the stunning sunrise of Mt Everest. The distance between EBC and Saga is about 450 kilometers. It is nearly about 9 hours to arrive at the destination. There are several attractions which you cannot miss, including Mt.Shishapangma, and Lake Peikucuo. After a short rest, we will continue to drive to Saga.

Day 7: Saga โ€“ Darchen

Stop At: Mount Kailash, Within Pulan County Humla Simikota, Burang County 859500 China
Although it is a long way to go, the natural view from Saga to Darchen is really attractive. Here, most nomads are living here and they are living on pasturing. Therefore, it is the best place for you to see the boundless grassland, numerous sheep and yaks, peaceful villages, and rustic Tibetans.

It is also known as a thrilling route because of the complex road condition, sandy routes, and abrupt cliffs. However, you can still see lots of pious pilgrims walking on the road for the purpose of doing a kora around Mt Kailash. When you arrive in Darchen in the afternoon, the time is free.

Day 8: Darchen-Dirakpuk

Stop At: Mount Kailash, Within Pulan County Humla Simikota, Burang County 859500 China
In the morning, you will go to Sarshung Valley by eco-bus. Then you will begin the trekking from Sarshung Valley to Dirakpuk Monastery. The whole distance of trekking from Sarchung Valley to Dirakpuk Monastery is about 18 km. Dirakpuk Monastery(5210m) is located in Pulan county and north of the holy Mount Kailash. It is the best place to view the back of the sacred Mount Kailash, and also a resting place for pilgrims. After the trek, you will spend the night in a guesthouse of Dirakpuk Monastery.

Day 9: Dirakpuk-Zuktulpuk

Stop At: Mount Kailash, Within Pulan County Humla Simikota, Burang County 859500 China
When you wake up in the morning and step outside, you will revel in the sights around you, especially Mount Kailash dominating the skyline.

Today, you will trek from Dirakpuk Monastery to Zuktulpuk Monastery, which is very challenging. The trekking is about 18km and will take about 7 hours. During the trekking, you will climb the Dromala Pass, the highest pass of the Kora. When you get to the top of the Dromala Pass, you can pause at the top for a rest and refreshment. Then, you will start the steep descent into the long valley, and you will stop and enjoy lunch at the Shabjay Dakpo nomadic tent. After lunch, you will continue to approach the Zuktulpuk. From here on, soon you will see Zuktulpuk Monasteryย (4820m). Milarepaโ€™s footprint and handprint can still be seen today at the miracle cave of the Zuktulpuk Monastery.

Day 10: Zuktulpuk- Darchen- Manasarovar

Stop At: Manasarovar Wetland, Northwest of the County, Burang County 859500 China
Today, you will trek about 14 km and it is relatively easy. After doing a kora around a holy mountain, you will head to Darchen by shuttle bus. Then you will meet your driver at Darche and drive to Lake Manasarovar which is one of the great three lakes of Tibet. It is the oldest and most sacred site of all the holy sites of the Yongzhong Bon, Indian Buddhism, and Hinduism. Its surrounding natural scenery is so beautiful that Buddhist believers have regarded it as the "world center" of the holy land since ancient times. And, Manasarovar is also the source of four of Asia's great rivers. After viewing the stunning scenery of the Lake Manasarovar, you will go to Payang.

Day 11: Payang- Saga

Today, you will head to Saga from Payang. On the way, you will pass many villages and camps, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery outside the car window. And, your driver will stop and give you some time to take great pictures.

Day 12: Saga- Lhatse- Shigatse

Stop At: Lama Palace, Southwest of Rikaze, Shigatse 857000 China
Today, you will be in the car almost all day, but you will feast your eyes on the beautiful scenery along the way, such as beautiful grassland and localโ€™s villages.

Day 13: Shigatse- Lhasa

Stop At: Tashilunpo Monastery, Jijilangka Road, Shigatse 857001 China
In the morning, you will visit Tashilunpo Monastery, the largest monastery in the area. It is the home of Panchen Lama, which was founded by the 1stย Dalai Lama in 1447. It is also a historic and culturally important monastery in Shigatse. Together with the "three major monasteries" in Lhasa, namely Gandan Monastery, Sera Monastery, and Drepung Monastery, they are named as the "four major monasteries" of the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Its architectural structure has also deeply influenced other Tibetan Buddhist buildings.

After visiting Tashilunpo Monastery, you will back to Lhasa along the friendship way, the northern to Lhasa. On the way to Lhasa, you will have a glance of the Yarlung Tsangpo valley. On half of the way, you will visit Nyemo, where you can have a chance to visit the Tibetan Incense Workshop. With more than 1000 years of history, Nyemo County is famous for Tibetan Incense. Besides being used in sacrificial ceremonies, this Tibetan incense is also used to prevent infectious diseases, such as flu and influenza. Its ingredients include saffron, sandalwood, longan, borneol, and other herbs. After Nyemo, you will continue to back to Lhasa.

Day 14: Lhasa Tour

Stop At: Lhasa Amusement Park, No.30-32 Sela Road, Chengguan District, Lhasa 850000 China
Today, we will not arrange any specific itinerary for tourists. You can enjoy free time in Lhasa city with your guide. If you want to visit attractions in Lhasa, you should do it with other members. Because according toย the relevant provisions,ย foreign tourists are not allowed to travel alone in Tibet at present and foreign tourists who travel in Tibet must be escorted with a tour guide.ย 

You have another choice for this day, which is to leave Lhasa. If you decide to leave Lhasa, your guide will take you to the airport or the railway station.

Day 15: Lhasa Departure
