Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to arughat to soti khola from kathmandu

Stop At: Kathmandu, Kathmandu, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Start your journey by driving from Kathmandu to Arughat, which will take around 7-9 hours of drive. The drive will smooth and rough, so be prepared.Take some rest at Arughat and continue your journey to Soti Khola by changing your vehicle. On the way, enjoy beautiful views of the Himalayas like Mount Annapurna in the left, Manaslu range in the middle and Ganesh Himal in the right.

Day 2: Trek from soti khola to machha khola

Stop At: Manaslu, Gorkha Nepal
Today, start your day by driving from Soti Khola to Machha Khola that is 15 km away. Upon arrival, visit an army camp that lies a bit further from Soti Khola. Then, visit Khursani Baari, a green chilli field. From here view the 100m waterfall from the opposite side of Khursani baari. Walk on the same side that will lead to Machha Khola. After the massive earthquake of 2015, you will get the shocking landslide view in the area. Overnight at camp in Machha Khola.

Day 3: Trek from machha khola to jagat

Stop At: Jagat, Jagat, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
After the permit checking in the police checkpoint in Machha Khola, we continue your trial towards Jagat. On the way, enjoy a bath in a hot spring and move along the steep valley sides. An hour before reaching Jagat, you will have the horizon view of cantilever bridge from Yaru bagar (which will take 20 minutes to reach there. This cantilever bridge is 158 m long and is considered as the first bridge in Nepal. Jagat is about 22 km away from Machha Khola and will take approximately 7 hours to reach there. After a little walk from the location of the bridge, the sight of Jagatโ€™s field will welcome you for an overnight camp.

Day 4: Trek from jagat to deng

Stop At: Jagat, Jagat, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
Continue your trek to Deng early in the morning after the permit check-in upper Jagat. It is around seven hours walk to Deng village which is made up of just about 4 houses and 3 hotels. After 40 minutes of walk, on the way to Salleri, you will need to cross the one river and you will see the view of milky flow in the river. Before the evening, you will view two hydro-powers (one new and one old). On the way, you will pass from Salleri to Sirdibas which is inhabited by local Gurung, overviewing the mountain named Siring (7239m). After crossing a bridge and walking for about 15 to 20 minutes, you will reach Philim, where lies different administrative offices, land revenue offices, police stations, and many more. From Philim, trek to Chisapani. After having lunch in Chisapani, take the path towards Naykphedi and further to Pewa which will take about one and a half hour to reach there. In Pewa, you will have to cross suspension bridge 2 times which itself is a nice experience. From Pewa, it will take 45 minutes to Deng. Overnight in Tea house lodge.

Day 5: Trek from deng to namrung

Stop At: Namrung, Prok, Nepal
Early in the morning after breakfast, start your trail downhill to Budhi Gandaki River and uphill to Rana gaon viewing the beautiful landscape and rivers. From Rana gaon, reach Bihiphedi after 45 minutes of walk. From Bihiphedi, march towards Gap, the lunch place, which will take about 2 hours to reach there. After lunch, walk for one hour through the dense forest after crossing the river from old to new version overseeing the dense forest, dead pine tree and many more. Then reach Suksum and from there climb uphill to Namrung, which will take about 1 hour and 20 minutes. After Deng, find the people of Tibetan lifestyle and culture. Other mesmerizing views are of Saula Himal, Himalchuli Range. Overall, Namrung is approximately 21 km far from Deng and will take about 7 hours to reach there.

Day 6: Trek from namrung to samagaun

Stop At: Samagaun, Samagaun, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
Today, reach Samagaun from Namrung & pass through Banjam, Lihi, Sho, Lho, and Sayla. On the way, before reaching Lho, you will view a monastery which is recognized as the one in the region. In this monastery, more than 200 monks study among whom all are boys. The path towards Lihi is steep and marching there will give you the view of Ganesh Himal, north Himchuli and Naike peak in the right. Continue your trip towards Sho and in the corner, you will find two ways, among which one leads to Hinayang monastery and another path leads to Manaslu larky pass. From Sho, it will take 1 hour 30 minutes to reach Lho and from Lho trek for 2 hours to reach Sayla. From Sayla, it will take 1 hour to reach Samagaun. From Sayla, you will get the panoramic views of north Himalchuli, Nadi Chuli Manaslu, north Manaslu, Nike peak, Saula Himal, and Siringi Himal. Here you will see yaks. Samagaun is the biggest village which originated about 200 years ago from Tibet. It is the popular place for commerce and is the route to Manaslu Base Camp.

Day 7: Acclimatization day at samagaun

Stop At: Samagaun, Samagaun, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
Today is a rest day and spend the day sitting in the hotel or roam around. But if you want to hike, then, you will have three options, you can visit Birendra Tal (3 km from Samagaon), Basecamp or Pungen monastery and Basecamp. The base camp is 6 km far and will take 5 hours to reach there. It is at the elevation of 4800m. You can also have the view of Manaslu glacier and crossing the glacier through the bridge will take you to naturally beautiful Camp area. There is also the existence of a cave. The pungen monastery is 6-7 km far from our acclimatization spot and has the flat surrounding before reaching there. It gives the panoramic view better than the base camp. Overnight in Samagaun.

Day 8: Trek from samagaun to samdo

Stop At: Mount Manaslu, Gorkha 44600 Nepal
Hike for 3 hours on the steep uphill (about 15 minutes) and flat land, you will reach the destination. On the way, you can have views of Syaula Peak, Naike Peak, Manaslu, Himchuli, Larke peak, and Cho peak. The additional spark is added by the west and north-Himchuli. It is the small young village, at the height of 3800m. The place has the facility of electricity as it has its own micro Hydropower Project running in the area. The path to reach there is simple which can be done with simple walk except for some minutes of steep walk.

Day 9: Trek from samdo to dharmashala

Stop At: Manaslu, Gorkha Nepal
Your journey starts in the morning with a downhill trek up to Budhi Gandaki River. Then, cross the river and again march upward through Larkya Bazaar and Valley of Salka Khola towards Dharmasala which is not actually a lodge but an easy place to stay for a night. It is 7km away and will take about 4 hours to reach there on normal days. Here, you can see some blue sheep. This place is also known as Larke Phedi. Overnight at Dharmasala.

Day 10: Trek from dharmasala to bhimtang

Stop At: Manaslu, Gorkha Nepal
The trekking today starts early in the morning at about 3 am which will provide the most beautiful scenic views of sunrise and top wind flow that will blow your mind.View the Annapurna II, single Himal, Kangaroo Himal, Himlung Himal, Cho Himal, starting from the left corner. From Larkye you will have the view of Cho and Larke peak. The trial of reaching Bhimtang will take 9 hours to complete.

Day 11: Trek from bhimtang to dharapani

Stop At: Dharapani Temple, 1 Dharna Dang, Ghorahi Nepal
Today, pass through Karche, Goa, Tilche and finally reach Dharapani. The trail descends to Dudh Khola (milky river) view different mountain summits like the zoomed ones. There is also approximate 5 minutes of the uphill climb where you will be warm and hotter. Then, the trail starts descending through the pine jungle. There find 8 to 10 coloured rhododendron in the month of May and June. Have lunch after reaching Surkhi. After lunch, move uphill for about 10 minutes and again downhill to Goa. Goa is a nice and peaceful place which consists of 4 hotels with good food and accommodation services. After walking for about 20 minutes, reach a bridge crossing which will lead to Mane, and finally to Tiliche and Dharapani after 30 minutes of the further trial. Overnight at Dharapani.

Day 12: Drive to kathmandu from dharapani

Stop At: Kathmandu, Kathmandu, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
From Dharapani, catch a jeep and drive to Besisahar. Again from Besisahar, drive on the bank of Marsyangdi River to reach Kathmandu enjoy the beautiful view of the forest, a habitat with small houses and huts, bridges, and majorly a fast-flowing and alluring Marsyangdi River.
