Wake up early morning and prepare for your Bangkok full day city tour. Start with experience yoru breakfast on Anatara cruise. You will spend one hour on the cruise to enjoy your buffet breakfast. And along the river, you will enjoy the stunning view of local people living by the river, temples, local market and more. Staff on cruise will explain you the history of the place you cruise passing. The cruise will be finished with feeding fishes in the river.

Our tour guide will waiting for you at the lobby, and take care you to see around Bangkok. Your first stop will be a local market (flower market) where you can see local people selling fresh vegetable, local food, flower etc. After that, our guide will take you to visit Reclining Buddha image at Wat Pho and then continue to visit Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha.

To break out the itinerary, our tour guide will take you to experience Thai Authentic food at Raweekanlaya Restaurant. At this place, you will see and taste the traditional Thai food which now does not serve in the general restaurant. After finish lunch, our guide will take care of you walking along with the old town of Bangkok to the public pier to take a boat to visit the Temple of Dawn. Finish the tour and then transfer back to your hotel.

Good to know

Most temples & palaces in Thailand are sacred place, you’ll need to respect the strict dress code in place. You’ll need to wear pants or a dress/skirt that extends well past your knees, and a top that fully covers your shoulders. (No shorts, mini-skirts, short skirts, tight fitting trousers,tights,see-through shirts, culottes or quarter length trousers,sleeveless shirts or vests and Sandals (without ankle or heel straps) etc.

The Grand Palace does offer a clothes rental service in which you can borrow some stylish trousers and/or tops for a refundable 200 baht deposit from an office near the entrance. Hang onto your claim ticket, however, as you will need it to get that deposit back.

Depart for a 1.5-hour drive through Bangkok’s rural outskirts to Ayutthaya History Park. Begin by visiting the Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace, located 60 kilometers north of Bangkok, an impressive architectural blend of East and West dating back to the 17th century. Lunch at a local restaurant.

Continue to Ayutthaya, which was the capital of the Thai Kingdom for 417 years. The city was founded in 1350 by King U-Thong and in 1767 it was destroyed by the Burmese army. Nowadays the ruins of the former city are on the UNESCO World Heritage list. You will take a local Tuk Tuk to stroll around the ruins of several ancient temples including Wat Phanancheong, Wat Mahathat, where the roots of a tree surround the head of Buddha; Wat Prasri Sanphet, a former royal temple during Ayutthaya days of glory; Elephant Camp, Wat Lokkaya (Wat Pranon), if time permits, Wat Chai Wattanaram, a perfect example of Khmer architectural influence. During the visit, your guide will take you to sample a notable local snack – Roti Sai Mai which is also referred to as "Sweet Angel Hair".

Good to know

When you are visiting Ayutthaya, you must try Boat Noodles (Kuai Tiao Ruea). It is another name card of Ayutthaya used to be sold on a small boat by paddle. As time goes on, it starts to appear on shore side. This Thai noodle dish is sold in tiny bowls and there is always a challenge: to see whose bowls piled higher. You will start your day with a stroll around the alleyways of the old trader community of Wat Gate Karam, before continuing on to Wiang Kum Kam. Following a massive flood, the city of Wiang Kum Kam vanished without a trace and for over 200 years became a lost civilization buried under layers of earth. Your day also includes a visit to Wat Chedi Luang, one of the most spectacular ruins in the old city that once housed the Emerald Buddha.

After lunch at a local restaurant. The highlight of the day for many is Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the temple on the mountain, and the most sacred in Northern Thailand. Your guide will explain the story of the temple and lead you around its impressive chedi and beautiful murals. As dusk approaches and the tourist masses have left the temple grounds you are privileged to be involved in a private blessing ceremony and will have the magical opportunity to witness the evening chanting of the monks before heading back to your hotel.

Much of the fun of the day is traversing the city using various modes of local transport including a songthaew,long-tail boat, and the ubiquitous 3-wheeler tuk-tuk. After being allocated bananas and sugar cane to feed to the elephants, you will walk with your guide through the Sanctuary, where you will find free-roaming elephants and hear their individual stories. After picking up at your Phuket hotel in the morning, you will arrive at the cruise departure point at Ao Por Pier.
