In the morning, After Breakfast our professional driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Lake Manyara. The park derived its name from the Maasai word โ€œmanyaraโ€, which is the Swahili name for the plant, Euphorbia tirucalli. The Maasai use this plant to grow livestock stockades, which matures to a highly durable stock proof hedge.

Located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park offers varied ecosystems, incredible bird life, and breathtaking views.

The alkaline soda of Lake Manyara is home to an incredible array of bird life that thrives on its brackish waters.

Pink flamingo stoop and graze by the thousands colorful specks against the grey minerals of the lake shore. Yellow-billed storks swoop and corkscrew on thermal winds rising up from the escarpment, and herons flap their wings against the sun-drenched sky. Even reluctant bird-watchers will find something to watch and marvel at within the national park

Day 3: Explore the Ngorongoro Crater

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
After breakfast, today you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater, the 8th natural wonder of the world. With walls 2,000 ft high and a crater floor that spreads for 102 sq. miles, the crater is a virtual Noah's Ark, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wild life in the planet. It contains a river, a soda lake that, from the top, looks like steam, full of flamingoes, a forest and open plains. The large bull elephants that reside here have extremely large tusk, due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses.

You will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a half day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food.

Day 4: Full Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, we depart for South Serengeti for a game drive viewing the migration. Serengeti National Park is among other incredible wildlife and stunning views is famed for the annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundred thousands of zebras, a frenzied bout of territorial conquests and mating happening from July-October. Witness an actual survival of the fittest as these animals plunge through crocodile-infested waters. The wildebeest produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again.

The wildebeest herds are migrating again with more accord: all are heading south, through western Loliondo and the Serengeti National Park's Lobo area, returning to the green shoots which follow the rains on the short-grass plains of the southern Serengeti in November. The best area to watch wildebeest migration is Southern Serengeti and Lobo area where you will have two nights enjoying the wildebeest migration around the area.

Day 5: Full Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
During Dec โ€“ April:

The southern Serengeti is the place to be during these four months when the wildebeest are mostly staying put. Depending on rainfall, herds can be seen between the Ndutu area and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is just southeast of Serengeti National Park. Around February, wildebeest mothers give birth to more than 500,000 calves in a two- to three-week period, so if seeing baby wildebeest or predatory action is a priority, this could be the best time for you to go.

Fun Fact:
โ€ข Within 10 minutes of birth, wildebeest calves are on their feet, so theyโ€™re ready to move when the herd decides to head out.
