Day 1: Rio de Janeiro

Pass By: Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in Rio de Janeiro´s international airport today! You will be transferred from the airport to your accommodation. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

No meals included on this day.

Day 2: Rio Janeiro

Pass By: Guanabara Bay, Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro Brazil
Breakfast at hotel. From many places in the city, the visitor can see the most beautiful postcard of Rio de Janeiro since 1931: Christ the Redeemer statue located at Corcovado mountain, 710 meters above the sea level. This tour begins at Cosme Velho neighborhood, from where the cog train starts the trip up to the statue, through the Tijuca Forest. Once there, a panoramic and extraordinary view of Rio will be seeing including the Sugar Loaf, the Guanabara Bay, the beaches of Southern Zone and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. Stop for lunch (Not included) and after, participants will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca, where Sugar Loaf is located. The visit is made in two steps by cable car. The first one takes passengers to Urca Hill which is 215 meters high, with a beautiful view of the Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói bridge and Corcovado hill. From this stage, a second cable car will go up to the top of the mountain, with 395 meters high and a splendid view from Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress and some beaches of Niterói. Includes a visit to the Museum of the Brazilian Soccer Team of the CBF.

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro – Iguazu Falls

Transfer to the airport to board your flight to Iguazu Falls. (Flight is not included). Arrival and transfer to the selected hotel.
Inside the Iguazu National Park it is located one of the most beautiful postcards of the world. The Waterfalls were chosen as one of the natural wonders of the world, it has 275 falls on an average flow of 1.400 cubic meters of water per second. Arriving at the Park, the first stop is at the Visitors Center, with a modern infrastructure, then the transportation is made in panoramic buses or private vehicles, in a 12 km path, providing a nice view of the local fauna and flora. Then the tour by foot starts, in a stepway of 1200 meters. During this walking it is possible to see several species of animals, especially coatis (considered the symbol of the park).
At the end of the tour, the visitors can contemplate a very nice view of the Iguazu River at the top of the falls, where is located the Porto Canoas Restaurant - a panoramic restaurant with brazilian food buffet (not included).

Day 4: Iguazu Falls

The visits at the Brazilian and Argentinian side are completely different, so we suggest the visitors to take both tours for a total appreciation of the Falls. Arriving at the park, the first stop is at the Visitors Center, with an excellent infrastructure, then the transportation is made in ecological trains that take visitors to a very pleasant trip inside the forest, where many species of fauna and flora can be seen. The first stop is at the Cataratas Station and the tour is divided in two options: Superior and Inferior Circuit. The next path is the Devil's Throat Station, the most beautiful and impressive fall of the Iguassu Falls. This contemplation is made of the top of Iguazu River, about 1100 meters walking to appreciate its magnitude.

The tour can be done in two ways:
Full Day Tour: including both Upper and Lower Circuits, also the Devil´s Throat
Half Day Tour: including the Upper Circuit and the Devil´s Throat

Day 5: Iguazu Falls - Lima

Transfer to the airport to board your flight to Lima. (Flight is not included). Upon your arrival to Lima international airport, reception and transfer to the hotel located in Miraflores district. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 6: Lima

We start our tour with a panoramic view of the “Pucllana Pyramid” a magnificent ceremonial and archeological center built in the 4th century a.D. and considered a “sacred village” by the Incas. Then we will visit the Historical Center of Lima, where you will appreciate more than fifty monuments and Colonial edifications, such as the Paseo de la República, the San Martín Square, the Main Square, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, and the City Council Palace amongst others.
We will visit the Museum of the Banco Central de Reserva*, here we will admire the “Treasures of Perú” Collection, a fine selection of objects made of gold, ceramics and textiles from different pre-columbian cultures. We will visit the monumental San Francisco Convent, which displays the largest collection of religious art in America. Our highlight will be the visit of the underground vaults, known as “Catacumbas” or Catacombs. Finally, we will visit traditional residential areas of Lima, such as El Olivar of San Isidro, Miraflores and Larcomar. Return to hotel. Rest of afternoon at leisure.
*Museum of the “Banco Central de Reserva” is closed to the public on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Monday closed all day.

Day 7: Lima

In the morning you will start your gastronomic tour. Peruvian cuisine is receiving worldwide recognition and Cala restaurant has a special place in the local gastronomic field. At this lovely restaurant, which boasts a priviledged location right on the shore of the Pacific Ocean, you will delight in the culinary pleasures Peru has to offer and you will learn to prepare the famous Pisco Sour and our celebrated cebiche. Then, you will be able to enjoy an exquisite beachfront gourmet lunch. Our tour includes a visit to a traditional Peruvian market where you will appreciate the natural produce and ingredients that have made our food famous. Includes a chef´s apron and an official certificate.

Day 8: Lima – Cusco

At the pre – advised time we will head out to the airport to board the plane bound Cusco. Upon arrival you’ll be greeted and taken in private transport to your hotel. Rest of morning at leisure to acclimatize to the altitude.
In the afternoon pick up for your City Tour Cusco where you will visit The Cathedral, Qoricancha (Sun Temple) and the 4 nearby ruins, Qenqo, (ceremonial and ritual center, place where sacrifices were made), Puca Pucara (this complex was probably used by Emperor Pachacutec as a tambo), Tambomachay (also called “The Bath of the Inca”) and Sacsayhuaman Fortress.

Day 9: Cusco – Sacred Valley – Cusco

Pass By: Sacred Valley, Sacred Valley, Cusco Region

In the morning departure for our visit to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit the textile center Awanacancha, then we will go to the town of Pisac, here we will visit a picturesque craft market where we can see how until today the locals maintain the tradition of exchanging their things or food, just like it was done in the past. Buffet lunch at local restaurant.
Later we will go to the town of Ollantaytambo where we will visit the fortress that bears the same name. Here we will visit the most important attractions of the place, and our guide will give us an explanation about its history.
Returning to Cusco, we will visit the town of Chinchero and its small chapel.

Day 10: Cusco – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Breakfast at hotel.
This day will be the highlight of our trip, the visit to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Very early we will depart from Ollanta train station towards the majestic city of Aguas Calientes, the travel time is approximately 01 hour 30 minutes. Arrival to Aguas Calientes town, from here we will board the buses to ascend to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world.
The tour will be 02 hours and 30 minutes and the visit includes the Intihuatana (the Solar Clock), the Palace of the Incas, the Three Windows, etc. At the end of it we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes to go shopping.
Lunch in a local restaurant.
At a scheduled time, transfer to the station to board the train back to Ollantaytambo.

Day 11: Cusco – Home
