This is one for the animal lovers as Lion Country Safari offers two parks in one. You’ll enjoy a drive-through safari then get a little closer to nature in a walk-through safari.

The four-mile drive-through safari gives you access to over 900 free-roaming animals. America’s first wildlife preserve opened in 1967 and is divided into seven specific areas. During your safari you’ll catch a glimpse of giraffe, zebra, rhinos, lions, wildebeests, and more within inches of your vehicle.

You’ll head to Fort Lauderdale Twin Ledges aboard Sea Experience’s 45-foot, fully-outfitted catamaran before dropping anchor for an hour for you to see what lies beneath. It’s not uncommon to see sea turtles, rays, and, of course, a range of colorful fish. This stretch of shoreline is the closest to the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, meaning the temperatures are generally conducive to comfortable snorkeling and a gentle breeze will cool you off when you’re on deck in the sun.
