      Today the desert calling : the drive from fes to merzouga desert via the middle atlas mountains is a lovely and unforgettable journey. the route takes you through the middle atlas mountains, where you can see stunning views of the rugged landscape and traditional berber villages. along the way, you will stop in a small town called ifrane, known as the switzerland of morocco for its highland architecture and cool climate. you will also have a chance to stop to feed the berbary monkeys in the cedar forest, visit the ziz valley, a lush oasis dotted with palm groves and traditional berber villages. as you approach the sahara of merzouga, you will see the golden sand dunes of the sahara desert rising up in the distance. once you arrive in merzouga, your camel man will be waiting for you for a camel trek into the heart of the desert and spend the magical night in a traditional berber camp under the stars.

      Sunrise above the dunes is an unforgettable moment worth an early morning waking up . 4/4 ride returning to the meeting point. continue along the "road of 1000 kasbahs" passing many clay kasbahs nestled amidst palm groves. take a walk to stretch your legs into todra gorge to marvel at the power of the todra river and feel dwarfed between rocky walls up to 290 meters high. continue through the dades and arrive at the oasis town of boumalne for an easy walking tour through a vast palm grove . drive through a beautiful landscape of palm oases, rose fields, arrive to your accommodation, in the heart of dades valley.
