  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu And Transfer To Hotel.

      A representative from Sherpa Expedition & Trekking will be there at the airport to greet you and take you to your hotel. During the day we will have a briefing and go over the trek and answer any questions you may have. You will be staying in the tourist hub Thamel, where you can roam the streets and make any last-minute purchases before you head off on the trek.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing & Trek Preparation.

      Today is optional. If you wish we can arrange a guided tour of Kathmanduโ€™s historic and cultural sites for USD 45. The tour includes visits to the cultural heritage sites listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list and includes Kathmanduโ€™s Durbar Square, the Swayambhunath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa and the Pashupatinath Temple. The unique architecture is stunning and is well worth seeing. Tonight you will stay in a hotel in Thamel, the tourist spot in Kathmandu. Breakfast included.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Drive From Kathmandu To Soti Khola (700M) 7-8 Hours.

      Your guide will collect you from your hotel at around 5:30 am for the approximate 8-hour drive to Soti Khola. The first four hours to Dhading Bensi, the district headquarters of Dhading (1050m) will be on a better road. From here on the roads are not so well maintained and quite rough through to Arughat. From Arughat, you will drive for another hour and a half to Soti Khola. You will stay in Soti Khola at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner are included.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Trek From Sotikhola To Machha Khola (950M) 5-6 Hours.

      Today we head through the woods and follow the Budhi Gandaki River, and then head down to the riverbed and along a trail across the mountains with numerous views down to the river below us. Tonight we will stay at a guesthouse at Machha Khola. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

      Once we have crossed the Machha Khola River and pass Khorlabesi (920m), we come to Tatopani, well-known for its natural hot springs. The trail then heads through a forested area as we continue on to the Dovan Khola (river) and to the Budhi Gandaki Valley. As we trek higher you will notice a change in the vegetation right up until we reach Jagat Village where we will stay at a guesthouse overnight. Breakfast, lunch & dinner is included.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Jagat To Deng (1,850M) 5-6 Hours.

      We head off on the trail leading through the valley to Sirdibas where we have a great view of Shringi Himal. After crossing a suspension bridge we climb to Philim, with waterfalls cascading down on both sides of the valley. The next village we come to is Ekle Bhatti and Pewa Village continuing up the valley until we arrive at Deng Village where we will stay at a guesthouse for the night. Breakfast, lunch & dinner are included.

      We begin our trek today with a steep climb and then head back down to the Budi Gandaki River. We then head along the valley and pass several small settlements. As we get nearer to Namrung you will see Mani stones (stones with carved with Tibetan mantras) indicating you are getting further into territory occupied by Buddhist Tibetans. This afternoon we take a small detour to Prok village, a two hour round trip, and then return to Namrung for the night at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Namrung To Lho Gaun (3180M) 5-6 Hours.

      Itโ€™s as if we are stepping back in time as we walk between the Mani stone walls of Lho Village. From Lho we can view the snow-clad peak of Ngadi Chuli (7871m). Another short detour takes us to the Pungen Glacier for a close-up view of Mt. Manaslu. We will stay overnight at a guesthouse in Lho Gaun. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Lho Gaun To Samagaun (3500M) 4-5 Hours.

      Today we trek across the moraine of Pungen Glacier towards Samagaun, probably the most beautiful village of the entire trek. You will stay the night in Samagaun at the guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch & dinner are included.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Exploration And Acclimatization Day At Samagaun.

      Our purpose today will be to acclimatize before heading to higher altitudes. Health professionals propose that you stay active during the day to better improve the acclimatization process. Today we can choose either a full day or a half-day trek. The full-day trek will take you to Manaslu Base Camp (4750m) - a 6 to 7-hour return trek. The half-day trek will take you to a glacier directly across the valley or to Birendra Ta. Tonight we will stay at a guesthouse at Samagaun. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

      Today we cross pastures before descending to the valley below, all the while having some fantastic views of the surrounding peaks including Manaslu. We continue until we come to the remote and remote Tibetan refugee village of Samdo, very close to the Tibetan border. The afternoon has been set aside for you to wander around the village and nearby countryside.  Tonight we will stay at a guesthouse in Samdo. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included. 

  • Day 12 Day 12: Samdo To Dharmashala (4,450M) 4-5 Hours.

      Today we will have to cross several rivers before reaching Larkya Bazaar, a village that survives as a trading post for traders heading from Tibet. From here we ascend up a steep trail until we reach Dharamsala where we will stay in a guesthouse for the night. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Dharmashala To Bhimthang (3,720M) Via Larkya La Pass (5,106M) 8-9 Hours.

      We have a long day as we head via Larkya La Pass (5106m/17,121 ft) to Bhimthang. We first have to climb to Cho Chanda before continuing up to the snowy pass. The views of many surrounding peaks are truly amazing. The Himalayan peaks of Himlung Himal (7126m), Cheo Himal (6820m), Gyaji Kung (7030m), Kang Koru (698m) and Annapurna II (7937m) are observable from the pass. We then have a steep descent across moraines until we reach Bhimthang Village where we will stay at a guesthouse overnight. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

  • Day 14 Day 14: Bhimthang To Tilje (2300M) 5-6 Hours.

      We have an easy climb through the cultivated farmland and then head to the small Karcher La Pass. The trail then descends through fig trees and rhododendron forests until we reach Tilje where we will stay overnight in a guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.


  • Day 15 Day 15: Tilje To Chamje (1410M) 6-7 Hours.

      Today we cross a small ridge and follow a stone-paved trail and then cross the bridge over the Dudh Khola River passing through a Chorten-shaped arch and then we will pass a Mani wall before reaching the village of Thonje. After leaving Thonje we enter the Annapurna Region at Dharapani where we will go through a police checkpoint. Next, we come to the village of Karta and then cross the bridge over the Marsyangdi Khola. Next, we come to the village of Tal located close to a large waterfall. We then descend and head to Chamje village where we will stay overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are included.

  • Day 16 Day 16: Drive Back To Kathmandu (1,350M) 6-7 Hours.

      It is the last day of our trek through the amazing Manaslu Mountains. From Chamje we will head by jeep to Besisahar and then head back to Kathmandu by bus. We will then take you to your hotel where you can relax and reflect on your journey through this incredible landscape. Tonight you will stay in a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu. Breakfast included.

      This is your last day in Nepal. Sherpa Expedition & Trekking will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport at least three hours prior to your flight. While waiting for your flight, and on your flight, you will have time to look back and also think about your next destination in the Himalayas of Nepal. Breakfast included.
