      Your journey begins at 7 am as our driver picks you up from your hotel. Drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at scenic spots like Ifrane and Azrou. Marvel at the Atlas Mountains and reach the Sahara Desertโ€™s Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Relax with sweet mint tea at your desert camp.

      After breakfast you can choose your own desert trip experience; the delights of a walk through rhaps a refreshing dip in the hotel swimming pool; or maybe youโ€™d prefer the option of a shopping trip to the nearby villages of Merzouga, only fifty kilometers from the Algerian border, which boasts the largest underground natural reservoir in Morocco, and then the tiny Khamlia, called the village of the black people, as it is inhabited by the descendants of slaves taken from The Sudan who will enthrall you with their performances of their much loved, sacred Gnawa music. At dusk, you will find your camel prepared to carry you off into the glorious sunset for an unforgettable ninety minute camel trek through the shifting sahara desert sands before you arrive at a traditional Berber desert encampment where you will spend the night in a tent, surrounded by mountainous dunes. Your guide will cook you an authentic Moroccan repast while you just take it easy, watching the stars, so many and so bright you feel you could just reach out and touch them, and listening to the soft sounds of time-honoured Berber music. A truly memorable day in the middle of the sahara desert.

      After eating breakfast, our journey to the Todra Gorge starts by driving to Rissani, an important town on the edge of the Sahara Desert and the first capital of the Alaouite dynasty. Then we head to Erfoud, known for its famous fossils. Donโ€™t forget to bargain for a good deal! Youโ€™ll also visit workshops where skilled men clean fossils taken from rocks.

      Next, weโ€™ll travel through the Todgha Gorges, a deep canyon in the High Atlas Mountains near the village of Tinghir. Here, you can enjoy some easy hiking. These gorges are the tallest and narrowest in Morocco, and many people consider them the most beautiful. Dinner will be provided, and youโ€™ll spend a peaceful night in the heart of the Todra Gorge.

      Todra Gorges - Fes

      After breakfast, hike in Todra Gorge before heading back to Fes through the Middle Atlas Mountains.
