Welcome to La Spezia, the lively city where our exciting trip begins! As the second-biggest city in Liguria after Genoa, La Spezia is the perfect starting point to explore the charming streets and cozy trattorias of Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and taste authentic Ligurian cuisine.

In the morning, join the group and your tour leader for a scenic train ride to our first stop, the lovely village of Santa Margherita Ligure, a vibrant coastal town on the Italian Riviera.

Next, we’ll take a boat to Portofino, a colorful and famous spot loved by celebrities. You’ll have some free time to explore, enjoy delicious gelato, and stroll around the beautiful “Piazzetta.”

After our welcome to Cinque Terre, we’ll take the train to Monterosso, the largest village in the area, to spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach, sipping local limoncino (you’ll learn why it’s special!), and watching the stunning sunset.

In the evening, we’ll head back to La Spezia for an optional group dinner, ending our memorable day together.
Day 2 Cinque Terre Adventure 360°: Corniglia, Vernazza, Manarola

Cinque Terre Adventure 360°: Corniglia, Vernazza, Manarola

Get ready for an exciting day in Cinque Terre! We’ll start with a train ride to Corniglia, a village on top of a mountain with amazing sea views. To reach the village center, we’ll climb 382 stairs and then have a quick briefing. We’ll begin an easy, scenic 1.5-hour hike along the Azul Trail to Vernazza.

In Vernazza, we’ll take a lunch break to enjoy the famous fried seafood cone and focaccia. Afterward, you’ll have some time to relax on the beach before we head to a traditional winery for a fun pesto-making class. You’ll learn how to make this Italian classic and taste Cinque Terre wines and Ligurian oils with the famous Ligurian focaccia. It’s a local experience you won’t forget!

Next, we’ll visit Manarola, known for its beautiful harbor and colorful buildings. The village is part of the Via dell’Amore, or “Lover’s Lane,” a scenic path that connects Manarola to Riomaggiore.

We’ll end the day in Riomaggiore. Here, you can choose to go on an exciting kayak trip or relax with a sunset drink by the coast. Enjoy your evening however you like.

Porto Venere - Free Time In The Afternoon

On the third day of our tour, we head to PortoVenere, the final stop of our adventure. When we arrive, you’ll have the afternoon free to do whatever you like. You can relax on the beautiful beaches, explore the charming streets with colorful houses, or enjoy delicious local food at waterfront restaurants. Spend this leisurely afternoon in Porto Venere before we say goodbye to the enchanting Italian Riviera.
