      A member of the Lead Adventures Staff will visit you at your accommodation. He will help you with all information about the amazing program youโ€™re about to dive into. After that, feel free to visit Ecuadorโ€™s capital city and make unforgettable memories!

      Your journey from Quito to the Galapagos Islands is like stepping into a dream! Get ready to be greeted by our super-friendly local guide right at the airport. 


      Please note: the Galapagos are one-hour behind the time zone in Quito.

  • Day 4 Kicker Rock Or Lobos Island

      Kicker Rock Or Lobos Island

      Todayโ€™s all about snorkeling, with two options you must choose at Lobo Island or Kicker Rock (depends on availability)! Look up, and youโ€™ll catch those high-flying boobies and frigate birds doing their thing in the sky โ€“ talk about a nature show! But the real magic happens underwater. Imagine swimming alongside rays, playful seals, chill iguanas, and a whole squad of multicolored fish. Itโ€™s like diving into a real-life rainbow! .

  • Day 5 Day 5: To 6: Volunteer Project

      Day 5: To 6: Volunteer Project

      For the next two days you will be based in the station assisting with the project and will be involved in performing a number of activities. The taxi will pick you up at 07:00am from the hotel and bring you to the Biological Station. The ride is approximately 45 minutes.

      The Station resides on 200 hectares of native vegetation and aims to cultivate the four different vegetation zones. The main objective of this project is clearing invasive plants and reforesting the land with native and endemic species. This innovative approach is believed to be the only true way to forge a sustainable future for the Galapagos.

      Some of the activities will include: 

      โ€ข        Reforestation with native and endemic species in the reserve and in local farms. 

      โ€ข        Environmental education with local people and schools. 

      โ€ข        Station maintenance (trail maintenance, sign elaboration for trails, basic construction activities, help clean fresh water supply, help in kitchen, etc.) 

      โ€ข        Organic agricultural activities and vegetable production (help maintain and secure food production for the station). 

      โ€ข        Guided hike throughout reserve and/or nearby related areas (learn about biodiversity themes, natural history, & ecology)

      Your accommodations for the last night will be in town.

  • Day 6 Day 7: Departure From San Cristobal To -Isabela Island, Stop In Santa Cruz

      The Lead Adventures Staff will let you know the names of the boats that you will have to look to travel to the next Islands. 

      This day you will be departing from the hotel at 06:20am to catch the 07:00am boat to Santa Cruz. You will be arriving at Santa Cruz around 09:30am. You will have free time to explore until you have to catch the 13:30pm ferry to Isabela. You will be arriving around 16:30pm in Isabela. A member of the hotel will greet you at the Port.

      Start your day with a hearty breakfast thatโ€™ll fuel you up for a jam-packed expedition to Sierra Negra and Chico Volcanoes. Get those hiking boots ready, โ€™cause youโ€™re in for a 6-7 hour trek thatโ€™ll have your heart pumping and your spirits soaring. Trust us, every step will be worth it once you catch those island views thatโ€™ll take your breath away.

      Get ready for a double dose of happiness! First up, letโ€™s talk about the Tortoise Breeding Center โ€“ itโ€™s like a tortoise party with around 330 guests!  Our next stop: Los Tรบneles, a place thatโ€™s practically a magical underwater wonderland: crystal-clear waters, dancing blue-footed boobies, sea lions having a splash-tastic time, penguins catching some rays, tropical fish having a feast, white-tip reef sharks, and turtles.

  • Day 9 Departure From Isabela To Santa Cruz . Charles Darwin Station And Highlands

      Departure From Isabela To Santa Cruz . Charles Darwin Station And Highlands

      This day you will take a ferry ride back to Santa Cruz  And guess what? The afternoon is all yours, whether youโ€™re in the mood for some shopping moments or just want to relax.

      When you visit the highlands get ready to meet some true giants โ€“ the Giant Turtles โ€“ as they chill in their natural habitat. Giant tortoises and land iguanas get to call this place home thanks to some awesome breeding programs. Itโ€™s like a sanctuary for these incredible creatures, and youโ€™re invited to be part of the magic! But thatโ€™s not all โ€“ youโ€™re in for a dark and fascinating adventure as we explore lava tunnels. Our guide will be your storyteller, sharing all the cool secrets about how this island came to be. 

  • Day 10 Day 11: Academy Bay

      Get ready for a tour with enchanted animals. Imagine peering beneath the surface and discovering a whole new universe of underwater enchantment: think marine turtles, white-tip reef sharks, and majestic manta rays. Itโ€™s like a real-life treasure hunt for the coolest sea creatures!


      And thatโ€™s not all โ€“ in the afternoon you can visit Tortuga Bay Beach all on your own. Itโ€™s like a little paradise, located at 40-minute walk from your hotel. Itโ€™s like stepping into a postcard-perfect dream!

  • Day 11 Day 12: Santa Fe Snorkeling Tour

      Day 12: Santa Fe Snorkeling Tour

      During this tour you will visit 2 snorkel sites around the coast of Santa Fe. At Santa Fe Island, you will see land iguanas and enjoy some birdwatching too. This hidden gem boasts volcanic rocks covered in giant Opuntia Cactus, creating a unique landscape. After a breezy boat ride, get ready to dive into two awesome snorkel spots. Playful Galapagos sea lions might join you, along with colorful reef fish, and maybe even turtles, reef sharks, and rays. The next stop is โ€™Playa Escondidaโ€™, where you might spot more of Santa Fรฉโ€™s residents like land iguanas, hawks, finches, doves, mockingbirds, rice rats, and even the friendly Galapagos snake. Lunch is served onboard, making this adventure even more exciting!

      Transportation back to Baltra airport upon departure is not included in the program.  If you prefer, you can request the hotel receptionist to arrange a taxi for you. Upon reaching the canal, a nominal fee (USD 1.00) unlocks access to the ferry transporting you to Baltra Island. Following this, an additional fee of USD 5 is required for the bus service that shuttles you to the main airport. Upon your return to Quito, our driver will be at airport to transfer to your accommodation.

      NOTE: ensure youโ€™re at Baltra airport a full 2 hours prior to your flightโ€™s departure time. The journey from the hotel to the airport takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
