  • Day 1 Day 1: Fly From Kathmandu To Paro.
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Fly From Kathmandu To Paro.

      On arrival at Bhutan your guide will be there to meet you and take you to your hotel in Paro. You will have time to rest and can then spend the remainder of the day exploring the town at your leisure.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Paro Sightseeing.

      Day 2: Paro Sightseeing.

      After breakfast at our hotel, we will drive about 30 minutes to the base of the well known Taktsang Monastery (Tigerโ€™s Nest). After a break for lunch, we will descend and drive to Kyichu Lhakhang Temple a celebrated and popular temple in Bhutan. This evening you will have time to wander around Paro and sample some local foods or shop for some of their unique crafts.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Paro To Bumdrak Camp.

      Day 3: Paro To Bumdrak Camp.

      Today we hit the trail and will trek through rhododendron trees (wonderful in spring with white. pink & red blossoms), and conifer forests until we come to Bumdrak camp at 3860 meters where we will stay the night.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Bumdrak Camp To Thimphu.

      Today we trek across lush hillsides among the trees until we reach the point where our vehicle is waiting that will take us to Thimphu, Bhutanโ€™s capital.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Thimphu Sightseeing.

      Day 5: Thimphu Sightseeing.

      Tonight we will visit the Tashi Chhoedzong, meaning the "Stronghold of Glorious Religion". Nowadays it is a government building and religious center. We will also pay a visit to the Memorial Chorten built-in memory of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the 15th-century Changangkha Monastery; Motithang Takin Preserve to see the Takin โ€“ the national animal of Bhutan, and the new Drupthob Nunnery Monastery. Other places of interest we will see are Buddha Point and Tashichho Dzong. 

  • Day 6 Day 6: Drive To Gangtey Gompa 6-7 Hours.

      A road trip today takes us up through the mountains where the climate allows lichen to hang from the trees as we near Dochula Pass (3,050m). At the pass, we will stop for a tea break and an amazing view over the Himalayan Mountains. From the pass, we continue on to Gangtey Gompa and visit the Black-Necked Crane Center. In the evening we can wander around the Gompa and observe the young novice priests from the school nearby. Tonight we will stay in a farmhouse. 

  • Day 7 Day 7: Drive To Punakha 4-5 Hours.

      After a break for lunch, we will head to the Punakha Dzong which used to be the old capital of Bhutan. This incredible fortress is located between two rivers and has survived many glacial floods and fire. In February of each year, a procession known as the Punakha Serda takes place to commemorate the victory over the Tibetans. Punakha is also the winter residence of the Je Khempo (head abbot). We will also visit Chime Lhakhang. 

  • Day 8 Day 8: Drive To Haa Deongkhag 6-7 Hours.

      Today we follow a winding road through pine forests before emerging to a valley. We will visit the Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) and stroll around Haa town in the evening. 

  • Day 9 Day 9: Drive To Paro 3-4 Hours.
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 9: Drive To Paro 3-4 Hours.

      Today we head downhill through the forest until we arrive at our pick-up point from where we will drive back to Paro. This evening we will browse the market where they sell many unique charms and trinkets indigenous to Bhutan.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Final Departure Day.

      Day 10: Final Departure Day.

      Today we head to the airport for our departure back to Nepal. You may be physically leaving Bhutan, but the feeling and memories of being in this wonderful country will never leave you.
