On day 8 in the morning, you will leave for Haridwar from Delhi. It is located in the lower range of the Himalaya, the Shivalik hill. Haridwar is where the Ganga descends from the hill and starts the journey on the plain. Day 9 of your Golden Triangle with Haridwar & Rishikesh tour is reserved for visiting the temples of Haridwar and Rishikesh. Rishikesh is located 25 Km away from Haridwar. This is one of the most serene places known as the center of Yoga and Meditation. The Ashrams (houses) for spiritual learning are lined along the east bank of the river Ganga. Today you will visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Geeta Bhawan, & Ashrams. After the day’s excursion, you will return to the hotel for a night stay at Haridwar.

Laxman Jhula is a 450 ft long hanging bridge over the river Ganga that connects two villages Jonk in Pauri Garhwal district, on the east bank of the river Ganga and Tapovan in Tehri Garhwal district, on the west bank of the river. Ram Jhula is another 450 ft. long hanging bridge that connects Swarg Ashram on the western bank of River Ganga to the Sivananda Ashram on the eastern bank. Geeta Bhawan is a riverfront Ashram filled with extreme serenity. There is a temple, guest house for the devotees and an ancient Banyan tree in the Ashram. Swarg Ashram is a place free from traffic, alcohol and non-vegetarian food located at the eastern bank of the river Ganga. Every bit of the place is filled with serenity where people come in the search of peace and spirituality. You can reach the place through the Ram Jhola or can take a cable car ride.
