  • Day 2 Old And New Delhi Sightseeing

      Old And New Delhi Sightseeing

      The morning begins with a refreshing and delicious breakfast at your hotel. Later you will meet your local guide and start your HERITAGE WALKING TOUR OF OLD DELHI.  This tour is a combination of heritage and culture with walking and cycle rickshaw (Pedi cab).  


      First you will visit JAMA MOSQUE -the largest mosque of India. In continuation we take a Rickshaw ride (Pedi cabs) through the BAZAAR to explore the historical lanes and of Old Delhi. We will also visit KHARI BAWLI- Asiaโ€™s largest spice market. At the end of the rickshaw ride we move on to RAJ GHAT, the memorial of father of the   Gandhi. It is a peaceful place with beautiful gardens and this will mark the end of our HERITAGE WALKING TOUR OF OLD DELHI. 

      Later we head to BRITISH DELHI (New Delhi), drive pass the official home of President of India (Rashtrapati Bhavan) and Indias highest legislative body the parliament building.  Also visit the Iconic INDIA GATE memorial to 90,000 India soldiers who died during World War.

  • Day 3 Delhi โ€“ Jaipur (262 Kms - 05 Hrs Drive)

      Morning after breakfast check out from Delhi hotel and drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in at hotel. After wash and change we visit Galta Ji is a large Hindu temple complex that lies 10 km outside of Jaipur city. Galta Ji Jaipur is a unique Hindu temple as it is centered on a natural spring that has been channeled to fill seven large pools. In these pools pilgrims come to bath away their sins while, at quiet moments, the playful monkeys can be found swimming in the holy waters. The temple is also home to a large colony of monkeys and this has given rise to the common name of the complex, the monkey temple. 

      Laxmi Narayana Temple is an example of marvelous architecture. There are idols of Hindu Gods and Goddess, Hindy symbols, ancient quotes. On walls mythological events are carved and there are idols and images of saints, philosopher and historian like Buddha, Socrates, Zarathustra and Confucius. 

      Evening back to hotel. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

      After breakfast Visit PANNA MEENA KA KUND: A 16th-century step well Panna Meena Ka Kund is one of the most ancient living structures. It is believed this spot once hosted numerous popular festivals, weddings, and religious ceremonies.


      AMER FORT 11 km outside of Jaipur the former medieval capital, was built by Raja Man Singh the commander of the Rajput Akbar army in 1592. This landmark is a splendid representation of Rajput architecture. 

       

      After the short trek, youโ€™ll steady your feet and be awestruck by the marvelous sight before you, marble palaces, mosaics, paintings, mirror works, carvings, mural walls, and engravings. When touring Amber Fort donโ€™t forget to visit 17 century Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), a chamber decorated with an array of mirrors on the walls and ceiling. The Zenana courtyard is a place you must see. It is a private womenโ€™s residence designed with one corridor but different rooms so that the Maharaja (King) could visit the wife or concubines of his choice, at his pleasure without the others knowing.


      After visiting Amer Fort, return to the city en route and stop for the picture at JAL MAHAL (Water Palace), which is a five-story high palace located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. The four floors stay under the water it is only the fifth floor which is visible.


      Later visit the glorious CITY PALACE; when you visit you get a feel for the wealth of Jaipurโ€™s royal family one of the richest in India. for a beautiful display of intricate craftsmanship see the superb peacock gate which shows off spectacular and bright peacock images at the entrance that will make you go WOW! Visit one of the best museums in India with an art gallery and exhibits of royal costumes and medieval Indian armaments. Admire an exclusive collection of regal costumes and marvelous shawls like the pashmina. It is here that you will find what are considered to be the biggest silver objects on earth; these are two mammoth silver vessels 1.6 m tall.  


      JANTAR MANTAR was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II between 1727 and 1734. The word โ€™Jantarโ€™ means an instrument, whereas โ€™mantarโ€™ refers to formula or calculation. Situated in Jaipur, this monument is one of the five astronomical observatories present in India. The other four astronomical observatories are located in Delhi, Varanasi, Mathura, and Ujjain. Jantar Mantar also includes about 15 astronomical instruments of various geometrical shapes and sizes. These instruments are used for measuring time, accurately determining the celestial altitude, and predicting the occurrence of eclipses. 


      Drive Pass HAWA MAHAL (Wind Palace) was built so that the royal ladies could view the Royal processions without anyone seeing them. If you have ever seen a giant beehive then that gives you an idea of the look of this five-storey building. The Hawa Mahal is beautifully decorated with lattice work and has some 953 tiny windows (Jharokhas).

  • Day 5 Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (260 Km - 6 Hrs)

      After a delicious breakfast drive to Agra. En route we make a stop to visit 9th Century step well Abhaneri and the ghost city Fatehpur Sikri. Continue driving to Agra. Upon arrival check in to the hotel. 

      The rest of the time is yours you can visit Mehtab Bagh also called Moonlit Garden, across the river which stretches over 950 square feet and is aligned perfectly with the Taj Mahal. When you stand in the garden you find a mesmerizing view of the temple of love, almost like a crowning jewel, framed by the trees and hedges that run up to the edges of the river bank.  

      Overnight stay in Agra.

  • Day 6 Agra To Vrindavan - Delhi (220 Kms - 5 Hrs)

      Today we woke up early to visit the Taj Mahal at Sunrise. Return to the hotel for a hot breakfast. 

      After Breakfast check out from the hotel and visit Agra Fort It is one of the three strategic forts built by Mughal emperors. It enjoyed great prestige and significance when Agra served as its capital. The Mughal treasury was always kept in this massive giant fort. 


      After the Sightseeing Drive to Delhi. En route, we visit ISKCON Temple Vrindavan and  PREM MANDIR (Temples are closed between 1200โ€“1600 Hrs), Drive to Delhi. Overnight stay in Delhi. 

  • Day 7 Delhi - Rishikesh (245 Km / Appx 6 Hrs Drive)

      After a Healthy breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Rishikesh. It is on the banks of River Ganges (Ganga).

      Rishikesh has purified the mind, body & soul of people not only in spiritual or religious terms but as a major learning center for arts, science & culture. 


      Rishikesh is famous for its yoga sessions that are taught here by many yoga experts. Besides the sadhus & saints, a mass of tourists visit here every year to have a look at this much-heard place. If the wonderful scenery & the numerous pilgrimage sites are not enough, Rishikesh also makes some of the most popular adventure sport destination of India. River rafting, trekking, rock climbing, hiking etc are some of the activities one can easily opt for.

      Upon arrival check-in hotel. 


      Later in the evening visit Parmarth Niketan and experience the Aarti on banks of river Ganges. Overnight at hotel in Rishikesh.

  • Day 8 Yoga Class With Rishikesh Tour

      This day woke up early in the morning for a meditation class. Thereafter, a one-hour Yoga class. After the Morning Yoga Class Have your breakfast and after we leave for a full-day excursion of Rishikesh, a very important Hindu pilgrimage site. Itโ€™s also a cluster of Ashrams & temples giving the entire place a spiritual feeling. The ceaseless flow of the river, regarded as Goddess Ganga adds to the beauty & the purity of the place. Along the river, the area is filled with thick green forests in the all-mountainous region.

      We will be visiting Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Geeta Bhawan, Kailash Niketan Temple & Beatles ashrams.  Later in the evening drive back to Hotel in Rishikesh.

      When the Ganges leaves the mountains & enters the plains, Haridwar is the first major town on the plains. Though the Ganges does not lose its rapids completely, nevertheless it becomes very quiet & calm here. Haridwar has earned fame as being the place, which has been blessed by the trinity of the Lords Shiva, Vishnu & Brahma.


      Its also one of the major Shaktipeeths. Down the ages, Haridwar has purified the mind, body & soul of people not only in spiritual or religious terms but as a major learning centre for arts, science & culture. 


      Visit Chandi Devi, Mansa Devi temple, Daksha Mahadev Temple, Sapt Rishi Ashram & Sapt Sarovar. Evening witness the Ganga Aarti at the Har-Ki-Pauri ghat. Return to Hotel.  

      Overnight stay at Hotel in Rishikesh.
