Day 1 Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

At 5:00 am, we will pick you up from your hotel or preferred location to begin our journey on the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway. As we drive, you’ll witness the sunrise casting its early morning colors across the fields. You may spot local homesteads and Maasai herders dressed in their vibrant shuka cloth.

Our destination is Amboseli Park, and we’ll follow the stunning sight of Mt. Kilimanjaro as it guides us there. During our first drive, we’ll likely see herds of majestic elephants, parading before the backdrop of the mountain.

Before setting off for the park’s marshes, plains, and hills to search for more wildlife such as lions, zebras, buffalos, cheetahs, gazelles, and elephants, we’ll enjoy breakfast either along the way or at your hotel.

Next, we’ll take a break to walk up the park’s Observation Hill, where you can enjoy views of the park’s surroundings, and beyond.

We’ll then indulge in a relaxing picnic lunch at Observation Hill, with Kilimanjaro in the background and the park’s natural ambiance.

Our final game drive follows, where we’ll look out for more wildlife and potentially visit a favorite spot.

Finally, it’s time to head back to Nairobi, and we should arrive in town between 6:30 – 7:30 pm.5:00 am – We will pick you up from your hotel or place of your choosing and head out on the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

The sun will rise over us, flooding the passing fields with its early morning color. Look for local homesteads and Maasai herders wrapped in their colorful shuka cloth.

We’ll follow the ever-broadening image of Mt. Kilimanjaro as it leads us to Amboseli Park. On this first drive, we’ll be looking for and will likely see great trains of elephants parading before the immense mountain’s lovely backdrop.

You will enjoy breakfast along the way or at your hotel before departure and then we’ll set out for the park’s marshes, plains, and hills in search of lion, zebra, buffalo, cheetah, gazelle, and elephants.

Then it’s up to the park’s Observation Hill for a walking break to view the expanse of the areas below and the vistas beyond.

We’ll savor a relaxing picnic lunch at Observationa Hill with views of Kilimanjaro and the natural ambiance of the park.

Our final game drive follows as we look for more wildlife and perhaps visit a favorite spot.

It’s time to head back to Nairobi. We should arrive in town between 6:30 – 7:30 pm.
