      Killarney is a beautiful town in County Kerry, The townm is fulkl of restaurants, bars and plenty of shops and cafes. There is also a bus and train station within this town. You can get a bus or train from towns in Ireland to Kilareny including from Dublin.

      Kerry also has a small airport which is just outside Killarney. 

      Killarney sits just outside Killarney National Park and is famous for its scenic beauty and wildlife.

      Most of the walking trail for this section of the trail follows the rolling tops of small ridges with stunning views of the Kerry mountains as far as the tip of the Iveragh peninsula to Valentia Island, finishing on very minor roads to the town of Waterville.

      Todayโ€™s walk again is steeped in ancient history, the most impressive of which is Staigue Fort. Along the way you will get your first glimpse of Kenmare Bay as you wander the paths following this beautiful stretch of coastline, finishing your day in Sneem.

      Crossing bog land areas and lovely wooded tracks, todayโ€™s trail leads you to the abandoned 19th century fishing village of Tahilla. The route then follows the Blackwater River on an old bog road, passing Dromore Castle (19th century) and Cappanacush Castle (13th century) along the way.

      The Kerry Way route climbs Gortamullin Hill (205m) rewarding you with fantastic views of the Caha Mountains on the Beara Peninsula. Next on is the town of Kenmare, again steeped in ancient history with its 4,000 year-old Reenagoppul Stone Circle near the town centre.
