    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Arrival At Fte Airport And Afternoon To Explore

A Warm Welcome Awaits in El Calafate

Your Patagonian adventure begins as you touch down at El Calafate International Airport (FTE), where a friendly representative from our agency will be waiting to greet you and assist with your luggage. Weโ€™ll then embark on a scenic transfer to your hotel in the charming town of El Calafate, nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Los Glaciares National Park.

A Smooth Transfer to Your Patagonian Home

The journey from El Calafate Airport to the town center is a mere 15 kilometers (9 miles), offering a delightful introduction to the regionโ€™s captivating scenery. As we drive, youโ€™ll catch glimpses of the majestic Andes Mountains, pristine lakes, and verdant forests that paint the Patagonian landscape.

      Embrace the Patagonian Climate

El Calafateโ€™s climate is characterized by distinct seasons, with summers (December-February) averaging between 14ยฐC and 20ยฐC (57ยฐF to 68ยฐF) and winters (June-August) ranging from -2ยฐC to 8ยฐC (28ยฐF to 46ยฐF). As you embark on your first day in El Calafate, be prepared for crisp, fresh air and the possibility of wind.

      Dress for Adventure and Comfort

To ensure your comfort throughout your Patagonian adventure, we recommend layering your clothing. Opt for a base layer of thermal underwear, followed by a fleece or light sweater, and a waterproof jacket for protection against the elements. Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots are essential for exploring the regionโ€™s diverse terrain.

Settle In and Prepare for Glaciers and Wonders

Upon arrival at your hotel, check in and settle into your accommodations. Take some time to relax and unwind, perhaps enjoying a cup of warm mate, a traditional Argentine herbal tea, before embarking on your afternoon adventure on your own.

Free afternoon to explore the town.

  • Day 2 Perito Moreno Glacier Fd
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Perito Moreno Glacier Fd

Take the Moreno Glacier Full Day Perito and get up close to this towering mass of ice on Argentino Lake. Shared transport and guide included.

We will pick you up at your hotel to depart from the city of El Calafate for the Los Glaciares National Park. We will make two stops to take pictures along the way on this Perito Moreno Glacier Full Day, with the first views of Argentino Lake and Redonda Bay. Then, we will arrive at the park and we will have 2 hours to roam the footbridges facing the Perito Moreno Glacier. These cover a stretch of 4 kilometers and reach to around 300 meters in front of the glacier. Whoever chooses the boat trip as an optional service will have an hour to walk along the footbridges and one hour for the boat trip.
