  • Day 1 Casablanca โ€“ Chefchaouen Via Rabat
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Casablanca โ€“ Chefchaouen Via Rabat

Welcome to magical Morocco! Upon your arrival at Casablanca Airport (CMN) or your designated accommodation, youโ€™ll be warmly greeted by a representative from Morocco Getaway. Get ready for the incredible adventure of a lifetime as we journey to Rabat, the current capital of Morocco.

Begin your exploration with a visit to the Hassan Tower, a historical landmark that has remained incomplete since 1199. Commissioned by Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur, the tower was intended to be the minaret for the worldโ€™s largest mosque. Unfortunately, the project was abandoned upon the sultanโ€™s passing in 1199. The site now features partial outer walls, 348 columns, and a minaret standing at half of its intended height, reaching 140 feet instead of the planned 260 feet.

Adjacent to the Hassan Tower is the Mohammed V Mausoleum, an architectural masterpiece in the Alaouite style. The mausoleum houses the tombs of Mohammed V, the current kingโ€™s grandfather, along with the kingโ€™s father, Hassan II, and his uncle, Prince Abdallah. Admire the elegance of the white walls and green-tiled roof as you explore this historical site.

Afterward, we continue to Chefchaouen, nestled in the grand Rif Mountains. As we ascend the mountain roads, the charming town slowly reveals its iconic blue and white-washed houses against the picturesque backdrop of the two-horned peaks. Chefchaouen, often referred to as the Blue City, captivates visitors with its unique charm.

Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of Chefchaouen without a guide on this first day. Explore the winding lanes, vibrant markets, and serene squares at your own pace. Absorb the tranquility of this blue-hued gem, where every corner tells a story of cultural richness and artistic expression. Engage with the friendly locals, sample local cuisine, and enjoy the distinct ambiance that defines Chefchaouen.

  • Day 2 Chefchaouen
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Chefchaouen

On the second day, deepen your connection with Chefchaouen as we introduce a knowledgeable local guide to enhance your exploration. The day begins with a visit to the Museum of the Kasbah, a historical treasure constructed in 1471. From its rooftop, marvel at the panoramic views of the town, adorned with blue and white houses, tiled roofs, and citrus trees.

Continue to Plaza Uta el-Hammam, home to the 15th-century grand Mosque, and absorb the vibrant atmosphere of the square. With our expert guide, gain insights into the historical and architectural significance of these landmarks, enriching your understanding of Chefchaouenโ€™s heritage.

Throughout the day, the guide will lead you through the hidden corners and cultural highlights of the Blue City, allowing you to delve deeper into its unique character and traditions. Immerse yourself in the hues of Chefchaouenโ€™s enchanting streets, discovering the secrets that make this town a true Moroccan gem.

  • Day 3 Chefchaouen - Fes Via Meknes

      Chefchaouen - Fes Via Meknes

Embark on a journey south to Fes, stopping to explore the well-preserved Roman ruins of Volubilis along the way. Discover Meknes, a calmer medina compared to Fes, known for its imperial city and grand Bab al-Mansour gate. Continue eastward to Fes, taking in the panoramic view of the medieval city from the Merenid Tombs at dusk. Conclude the day with a warm meal at a traditional riad.

  • Day 4 Fes
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Fes

Today, you will be guided by a professional guide to explore Fes. Visiting Fes is akin to a journey through time. The robust city walls, labyrinthine Medina, and well-preserved Old City make Fes a cherished tourist destination in Morocco. Strolling through the intricate alleyways of the Medina feels like stepping into the Middle Ages. Recognizing its historical significance, the French have maintained this site.

However, this preservation has contributed to its decline, as financial and government centers shifted elsewhere in the country. In 1956, a considerable number of Jews left the city, and it was subsequently populated by rural migrants seeking a new life. Consequently, the ancient center of learning has undergone transformations. Yet, it remains a captivating living museum where losing oneself is a joy.

Local guides will lead you through the enchanting Medina, a living monument to an ancient past, adorned with tanneries, markets, craftsmen, mosques, and ceramics. During your visit, donโ€™t miss the opportunity to explore Medersa Bou Inania, the cityโ€™s most exquisite building, recently restored and open to visitors. The tour also includes a visit to the renowned tannery, offering an iconic view of a ceramic factory, dye pits, and traditional potters at work. Indulge in famous Moroccan cuisines such as Harira (chicken soup) and chicken-stuffed pastille with couscous, adding to the delightful experience.

Explore the intricate labyrinth of Ait Ben Haddou, a gateway believed to date back to the 11th century. Wander through the same narrow alleys and towering mud-brick structures that have graced screens in productions like "Gladiator," "Game of Thrones," and many more.
