      Emerald Lagoon Trekking Tour

Breakfast. Pick up at your hotel. We head north of Ushuaia, joining the National Route Nยฐ3. Once the walk begins, we will enter the trail through the Tierra Mayor Valley. The journey consists of walking on the forests and peat bogs of the End of the World. This walk is done all year round and in winter with snowshoes and the objective is to reach the frozen Emerald Lagoon. Emerald stands out for its colors from the melting ice of the Glacier. ONLY during the summer it will be possible to take a short rest at the lagoon and then leave the vegetation limit at about 650 MTS approx. Will enter a mountain terrain with continuous slopes where the real physical demand begins, our guide will take us along the most enjoyable path known. Walking between large and unstable rocks we will arrive at a natural terrace overlooking the Esmeralda Lagoon and the Sorondo mountain range, where we will observe Mount Olivia and its neighboring mountain 5 Hermanos. It is at this point when you have to find the best mountain pass to ascend to the glacier. This section of the itinerary is the most delicate, which is why our mountain guide is always carrying safety equipment. Almost without predicting it, this immense sea of ice that is the glacier appears, with the Rhino Towers as sentinels behind it. Admired by this beauty, we will taste a hot lunch to rest, and thus be able to regain strength for the glacier transit. The way back begins. After the trekking, dropped off at your hotel. Accommodation.

    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Vinciguerra Glacier Trekking And Los Tempanos Lagoon Tour

We head towards the Valley of Andorra (area near Ushuaia), specifically towards the "Tranquera Verde" (end of access to Andorra). Here we get out of the truck and start trekking along a peat path, walking on flat ground for approximately 20 minutes. We will reach Arroyo Grande, which is crossed by a pedestrian bridge. On the way we will observe beavers, reddish peat bogs, forests of lengas, รฑires and coihues. We will begin the first stretch of ascent, for approximately 2 hours until we reach a spectacular waterfall at the limit of vegetation. This is the perfect place to take the first break (approx. 20 minutes), where we will have a snack to recharge our batteries and photograph this wonderful setting. We continue ascending, crossing valleys and peat bogs, until we reach the last part of the route and the last effort to reach the indescribable Laguna de los Tรฉmpanos, in the middle of the Andes Mountains. Here we will enjoy our Lunch box, on the shore of this splendid mirror of water, where we can take spectacular photos. 20 minutes from there, are the ice caves of the glacier. As long as the weather and terrain conditions allow it, it will be possible to briefly enter the caves to take photos. Then, we carefully begin the descent, returning to our starting point where the transfer will be waiting for us to return to the city.

Note: this tour is of high difficulty, it requires completing a medical file for the corresponding insurance.
