  • Day 1 Day 1: Tirane - Kruje - Shkoder

      Day 1: Tirane - Kruje - Shkoder

      We will proceed on our journey to Kruja Known as the home of the national hero Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg. The heroโ€™s castle, along with the museum located within it, is one of the most valued monuments and architectural complexes in the country.

      Walk Through the Old Bazaar of Kruja. As the most famous bazaar in the country, this place merits an immediate visit! In the dozens of shops and boutiques lined up in the streets. You can find Countless traditional functional and artistic objects such as carpets, furniture, silverware, copper plates, and ornaments, as well as many other souvenirs.

      Head north to Shkoder,one of the oldest cities in Europe (approximately 2 hours). Upon arrival, head out on a walking with your  tour leader along the Pjaca โ€“ the main pedestrian street โ€“ lined with 19th-century architecture.

      Later head north of the city to visit the Venetian era Rozafa Castle, set high on a mountain with panoramic views of the Albanian countryside.

      Visit Berat Castle castle the pride and joy of the city of Berat. Step into a traditional house of a local family to taste Turkish cafรฉ and Gliko. The most striking thing about this castle is that, unlike any other ancient castle, life inside its ancient walls continues to this day! 

      Take a walk in Berat below its own town with houses, bars, and restaurants, surrounded by an especially lush landscape that breathes even more life into this mythical place.

      Take your time to walk at the New bridge and enjoy the views of Mangalem and Gorica - UNESCO QUARTERS .

      Experience the Greatness of Antiquity. If we could choose the one place where you will have your most memorable encounter with history in Albania, it would have to be the ancient city of Apollonia founded in the sixth century B.C. You will visit the Monastery and the Church of St. Mary along with the Archaeological Museum located inside the monastery, adding yet another layer of history, architecture, and culture to the Park.

      Head south to Gjirokastra One of UNESCOโ€™s World Heritage Sites. This gorgeous carefully preserved peculiar-looking city is built on steep slopes where stone-roofed houses seem to be built on top of one another.  Enjoy  beautiful traditional houses and the cityโ€™s famous limestone and shale paved roads.The city houses the Castle of Gjirokastra, one of the oldest in the Balkans where you will step in with the tour leader.

      Take your time to walk through The Gjirokastra Bazaar who lies long beneath the castle walls, with its cobblestoned streets, medieval facades, and array of wonderfully handcrafted gifts.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Gjirokaster - Butrint - Ksamil - Sarande

      Head south in Saranda - This quintessential coastal city beams under the rays of endless sun and its reflection from its crystal-clear turquoise waters. Located on the Ionian coast, the city has many of its own wonderful beaches. 

      Drive Only a few kilometers away to the ancient city of Butrint, one of the most well-preserved in the Balkans and one of UNESCOโ€™s World Heritage Sites. Within the National Park of Butrint, you will find the ruins of the Greek and Roman past, including a functional open theater. 

      After Butrint we head to The nearby islands of Ksamil a top destination in many international travel list while Albaniaโ€™s own tropical paradise.Take your time to enjoy a drink or to swim in the crystal waters of Ionian sea.

      Day 5: Sarande - Albanian Riviera - Vlore

      Head through the Albanian Riviera and take a hike to Borsh castle. Situated at about 500 meters above sea level it offers great views of the mountains and the Ionian coast. The ancient Castle, which also hosts the only mosque on the Riviera, will give you the chance to enjoy stunning panoramas as you immerse yourself in its rich history.

      Head North  The Porto Palermo Castle which is known as the crown jewel of the Albanian Riviera! Built on the hill of an island, connected to the shore via a narrow man-made strip of land. The castle was built in 1814 at the request of Ali Pashรซ Tepelena, after the destruction of Justinianโ€™s castle. Take your time to swim at the Beach close to the castle and drive to Vlore.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Vlore - Zvernec - Karavasta Lagoon - Tirane

      Drive a few miles from Vlora to Zvernec Island. Covered in pines, this small gorgeous island off the coast of Vlora can be reached by walking along a 270- meter-long bridge, offering the visitor a one-of-a-kind experience with nature. Famous for its stunning forest of tall pines extending along nine hectares of land, the fairly small island also hosts the well-preserved 13th-century byzantine Monastery of St. Mary. 

      Head to Karavasta Lagoon the biggest in Albania take a boat trip ( subject to availability not always possible ) Visit the tower of the Lagoon then depart to Tirana Via Durres.

      Walk in Skanderbeg Square โ€“ A vast square with communist-era buildings all around, Pazari I Ri โ€“ New Market square, Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania. Drive a few minutes away to Petrela  castle 

      Return to Tirana.
