Tafraoute For 6 Days Morocco Adventure Trek From Marrakech

Itinerary

Day 1: DAY 1: TRAVEL FROM AGADIR (OR MARRAKECH) TO TAFRAOUTE

Stop At: Agadir, Agadir, Souss-Massa-Draa Region
We organize 6 day Morocco adventure trek in Tafraoute with experienced guides. We start from your hotel in Agadir and we travel to Tafraoute with a travel time of 4 hours. Enjoy the scenic road up the mountain, as we pass few Berber villages. Then we reach the starting point for our trek.
We walk in Tafraouute, town famous for handmade slippers and sandals, and Argan oil products. Overnight with dinner in local kasbah.

Day 2: DAY 2: TAFRAOUTE – OUMESNAT (5- 6 HOURS OF TREKKING)

Stop At: Vallee d'Ait Mansour, Tafraoute Morocco
Today we enjoy the trek by walking through Tafraoute located near the Ameln Valley. We walk through a grove of palm trees.
We continue towards Ameln Valley and we see the amazing Mount Lkest with all its beautiful villages - it is the highest mountain range in the area with peaks up to 2300 m. Then we follow the path downwards into the valley, through a landscape dotted with Argan trees and we wander through lovely palm grove.

We hike around the villages in Ameln Valley, we see is a mixture of modern houses and abandoned ones. Our trek continues to the village of Oumesnat which lies surrounded by palm trees at the foot of Mount Lkest.
We pitch our tents outside the village, with amazing views of the Lkest massif. We may stay overnight in a hotel if you prefer, and we transport you back to Tafraoute town.

Day 3: DAY 3: OUMESNAT – AIT OUSSIN (5 - 6 HOURS OF TREKKING)

Stop At: Tafraoute, Tafraoute, Souss-Massa-Draa Region
Today we start along a gravel road bordered by olive trees. We hike through the valley along the Lkest massif and we pass some Berber villages including Imin Tizerht where we visit the handicraft shop of the local women’s collective.

Then we begin to climb up a gentle slope, in Argan trees area for 2-hours, in the direction of the Lkest massif. We get to a plateau, we pass some isolated villages and we stay overnight in camp, on the terraced fields just outside the village of Ait Oussin. If you prefer a night in hotel in Tafraoute, we transfer you there.

Day 4: DAY 4: AIT OUSSIN – OYERD (5 - 6 HOURS OF TREKKING)

Stop At: Tafraoute, Tafraoute, Souss-Massa-Draa Region
Today we enjoy walking up to the Tizi Oyerd pass at 2100 m. We follow a dry riverbed surrounded by low mountains. We enjoy a wide-stretched view of the majestic Lkest massif.

After the final stage of trekking, we stay overnight in camp between almond and fig trees outside the village of Oyerd.

Day 5: DAY 5: OYERD – PAINTED ROCKS (4 HOURS OF TREKKING)

Stop At: Painted Rocks, South of Tafraoute, Street near Aguard-Oudad, Tafraoute 83025 Morocco
Today we hike and follow a footpath that winds down through a beautiful little ravine. We approach a desert-like landscape, with giant rocks in the most fantastical shapes. Tonight we will camp near painted rocks. You may climb up a hill close by to see the Lkest massif.

Day 6: DAY 6: PAINTED ROCKS – TAFRAOUTE (3 - 4 HOURS OF TREKKING)

Stop At: Tafraoute, Tafraoute, Souss-Massa-Draa Region
Today we hike back towards Tafraoute. Once we leave our campsite and the painted rocks behind us, we walk over an open landscape in the direction of Mount Lkest.

We again see fascinating rocks in the most amazing shapes. Then we see giant stone blocks stacked on one another and building unusual pyramids.

At the end of today’s adventure trek, we pass the village of Tazka with its red mosque. Then we arrive to Tafraoute, we transfer you back to Agadir or Marrakech by comfortable car. Thank you for taking a Trekking tour from Agadir.
