Itinerary

Day 1: Rome, private transfer & Evening stroll with Gelato/Cappuccino Tasting

Stop At: Spanish Steps, Piazza di Spagna, 00187 Rome Italy
Arrival at Rome airport, private transfer to your hotel. Check in and time to relax. In the afternoon meet your guide in Rome city centre and join a small group excursion to discover the secrets of the Eternal city.
This intimate Rome walking tour will help you to get your bearings at the start of your trip to the Eternal City. You’ll visit the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, see some Ancient Roman ruins along the way and even stop for a gelato tasting. Traveling in intimate groups of 20 people or fewer with an expert local tour guide, you can ask questions, get recommendations and really get a feel for the city.
Return to your hotel and overnight.

Day 2: Rome, Trastevere Food Tour

Breakfast. Reach the lively area of Trastevere and enjoy an intimate food tour (max 8 people)
Start with a stroll through the charming neighborhood of Trastevere, one of Rome’s most authentic and vibrant areas. Thanks to our buddy guide you will really eat local, with locals!
In our tour we will show you that Italian cuisine is more than just pizza and pasta, there is so much variation and regional differences! We will try to give you an overview of the Roman cuisine and you will learn the ‘do’ and ‘don’ts’ of Eating in Italy. Our local buddy guide will tell you interesting stories about the food, regional recipes, and will introduce you to local vendors. Everything you will taste is very simple but made with high quality and locally sourced ingredients. Some of the tasting locations include a century old cheese shop, a cookies’ factory that dates back to 1920, a traditional wine cellar. As a backdrop to our walk, Trastevere will surprise you, especially because our tour does not exclusively visit the famous squares and streets known and visited by most, but we travel the intricate alleyways and hidden corners and go off the beaten paths.

Afternoon at disposal to continue exploring the eternal city by your own. Possibility to add optional excursions to Borghese Gallery, Crypts & Catacombs or a funny cooking class.

Day 3: Imperial Rome Tour including Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine hill

Stop At: Colosseum, Piazza del Colosseo, 00184 Rome Italy
After breakfast, you will discover the greatness of the ancient Rome thanks to our Imperial Rome tour visiting the Coliseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine hill with views over the Forum and Circus Maximum. Rest of the day at disposal and free time to explore the city by your own. Dinner at leisure and overnight.

Day 4: Vatican Museums

Stop At: Vatican Museums, Viale Vaticano, 00120 Vatican City Italy
Breakfast. The morning will be dedicated to the visit of the Vatican Museum, including the St Peter’s basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Free time for lunch and free afternoon to discover the city by your own or to book and additional excursion. (Frascati Wine tour , Bracciano Lake, Tivoli). Evening at leisure, overnight.

Day 5: Rome-Sorrento

Pass By: Sorrento, Sorrento, Province of Naples, Campania
Breakfast. Take the highspeed train Frecciarossa to Naples. Here our private driver will meet and take you to Amalfi Coast. Accommodation in Sorrento. Time at disposal to start enjoying the beautiful panorama and for a stroll in the lively Sorrento. Dinner at leisure. Overnight

Day 6: Amalfi Coast Experience

Pass By: Amalfi Coast, Amalfi Coast, Province of Salerno, Campania
Pick-up from Sorrento area and transfer by minibus to the world famous Amalfi Drive. Stop along the drive.

Stop At: Positano, Positano, Amalfi Coast, Province of Salerno, Campania
First stop will be Positano. Thanks to its unique architecture, the town is considered today one of the most beautiful stretches of our coastline (1 hr of free time).

Stop At: Amalfi, Amalfi, Amalfi Coast, Province of Salerno, Campania
Continuing through the wonderful villages of Praiano, Furore and Conca dei Marini, we’ll stop in Amalfi for 2 hours. Free time at your disposal to discover the history of this ancient Maritime Republic.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Ravello, Ravello, Amalfi Coast, Province of Salerno, Campania
Last stop will be Ravello. 1 hour of free time to explore the little village located just above Amalfi.
Return to Sorrento in the afternoon.

Day 7: Capri & Anacapri

Stop At: Island of Capri, Island of Capri, Province of Naples, Campania
Relax and enjoy a wonderful day on this beautiful island!
The tour starts in the morning in Sorrento, by round-trip transportation you can reach the port, where you will catch hydrofoil heading to the island. Once in Capri the guided tour will start from the higher part: Anacapri. A chance to visit Villa San Michele, the fabulous villa of Dr.Alex Munthe. Weather permitting, you can have the chance to take an optional chairlift to Monte Solaro or wander around the shops and relax in one of many open-air cafes.
The tour continues down to the town of Capri, with the famous Piazza Umberto I with its chic shops and restaurants.
Admire the colorful gardens of Augustus, overlooking the famed Faraglioni Rocks and Marina Piccola. Here you will have free time before returning by hydrofoil to Sorrento

Day 8: Pompei & Vesuvio Experience

Stop At: Pompeii, Pompeii, Province of Naples, Campania
Breakfast. Pick-up from Sorrento and transfer by semi-private minibus to Pompeii.
At the arrival, enjoy a 2 hours visit to Pompeii excavation site together with your official guide. Due to its burial under a layer of ashes and lapilli, the town got forgotten for hundreds of years since its excavations in the 18th Century. After the visit, free time for lunch. In the early afternoon, the visit will continue to Mt. Vesuvius.
The bus will ride us up to 1000 meters high, from that point, will continue with a 30 minutes walk. Once on the rim, you’ll meet an alpine guide that will give you information about the history of the crater; free time to enjoy the breath-taking view of the entire Gulf of Naples.
Return to Sorrento during the afternoon.

Day 9: Sorrento-Naples (airport or train station) for departure
