Day 1: Marrakech airport -ย Hotel
Meet and greet at Marrakech airport, then check in to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2: Marrakech -ย Ouarzazate -ย Dades
After breakfast, transfer to Ouarzazate along the magnificent Tizi In Tichka pass through the High Atlas Mountains. Make a brief stop in the village of Skoura before taking the route of 1001 Kasbah to Kelaat MโGouna. This village is famous for its rose cultivation, so expect to find many fine, rose-infused products there. Continue to the village of Dades.
Day 3: Dades -ย Merzouga
After breakfast, enjoy walking at the famous Dades Gorges, lies between the Atlas Mountains and the Jbel Sargho of the Anti-Atlas mountain range then continue to Tinghir is a gorgeous, 40km oasis, which boasts one of the largest palm groves in the country. A beautiful walk through the valley and the Todra Gorge, a 300m wall, carved deep into the High Atlas Mountains then on to Merzouga making stops in Erfoud, and Rissani.ย .
NB: you can stay in a desert camp with round trip 4x4 transfers from Erfoud.
Day 4: Merzouga โ Alnif -ย Tazarine -ย Zagora
Enjoy an optional sunrise camel ride along the golden sand dunes in Merzouga. Return to your Riad for breakfast before transferring to Zagora via the Amazigh villages of Alnif and Tazarine. Zagora is famous for its largest palm valley in Morocco. Stop by Tamegroute to visit the villageโs famous library, which houses ancient Koranic scripts dating back to the 12th century.
Day 5: Zagora -ย Agdez - Ouarzazate
After breakfast, enjoy the tour of Zagora including some of the oldest villages in Morocco. Visit the pottery section of Tamgroute then transfer to Ouarzazate along the Draa valley. Optional lunch stop at Agdez then continue the trip to Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Ouarzazate -ย Ait Ben Haddou -ย Marrakech
After breakfast, begin city tour of Ouarzazate, including the Taourirt and Tifoultout Kasbahs, which areย considered to be among the most beautiful Kasbahs in Morocco. (Optional visit the film studios where some of the most famous desert landscapes were and are still being shot. Continue on to the spectacular fortress of Ait Ben Haddou, the iconic landscape immortalized in such films as Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, Gladiator, and Alexander. Then, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tiz In Tichka pass to Marrakech.
Day 7: Marrakech
Guided tour of Marrakech, includesย the world-famous Jemaa el Fna Square, the Koutoubia Minaret, Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs, the medina and itsย souks.ย
Day 8: Marrakech airportย
Transfer to Marrakech airport for your return flight.
