You can do this experience throughout the year, however it is recommended between the months of September and April, when the weather is cooler and there is no rain. The rainy season is from July to September, during May and August the days are quite sunny and hot.

The weather can vary a little bit depending on the season in which you do this experience. Between September and March the temperature varies between 8° and 27°C, the early mornings are colder while in the afternoons it usually goes up a couple of degrees.

The experience begins in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. Upon arrival you must make your own way to the hotel. The transfer from Puerto Escondido International Airport (PXM) is on your own (not included).

No medical or vaccination requirement is necessary to visit Mexico and perform this experience, however we recommend you to be in good health since the tours are done on foot.

During your experience it is essential to notify your guide as soon as possible of any discomfort or eventuality that may occur, so that they can assist you and give you the necessary support since they have the necessary knowledge.

The experience does not include transfers to the hotel in Mexico City or to the airport, personal expenses, meals and beverages not mentioned, international or domestic flights. For extra expenses we recommend bringing approximately $25 usd per day.

The experience is in small groups that normally vary between 8 and 13 people

Once you have finished the activities and visits planned for the day, you have free time to recover energy, share with your fellow travelers and get to know a little more about the cities you visit at your own pace.

After the scheduled activities you can visit the cities on your own, some recommendations are: Oaxaca: Textile Museum, Benito Juarez Market, November 20th Market, walk around the Zocalo, visit a mezcaleria, the Casa de Juarez museum, discover the flavors of Oaxaca and more. Mexico City: Visit the Zócalo, Chapultepec Castle, take a tour of the trajineras of Xochimilco, visit its museums, taste the delicious food, among others. Puebla: Visit the municipal palace, forts of Loreto and Guadalupe, the handicraft market, the cathedral, its museums and more.

This experience includes 7 breakfasts and 1 lunch, which are based on typical Mexican flavors, including tacos, quesadillas, among others. It also includes coffee with waffles and mezcal tasting.

Meals in Oaxaca, Puebla and Mexico City can vary according to the place you visit, well served meals range from $7 to $15 usd.

The first day you have an informative talk followed by a walking tour at 2:00 PM, the meeting with the guide and your fellow travelers is in the Lobby of the hotel in Puerto Escondido. The last day is exclusively for your return home, you can take the opportunity to visit a bit of Mexico City before your flight, however it is important to remember that check-out from the hotel is at noon, 12:00.

During the experience you do various activities and stay very active, as well as visiting and walking tours. Guided walking tours in the centers of large cities (Oaxaca, Puebla, Mexico City) take more than two hours, while those in smaller towns and cities take less than two hours.

It is not necessary to have travel insurance to visit Mexico or to have this experience, however it is advisable to have travel insurance to cover any incident that may occur.
