      Arrival Yellowknife - Aurora Hunting Tour

      Upon arrival at the airport, your guide will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name. He/she will assist you with the hotel transfer. Day time of the arrival is free time to explore Yellowknife at your own pace, or you can book some of the fun day tours available.

      In the evening, you go on the Aurora Hunting Tour - hotel pick up followed by a guided northern searching tour. Your experienced aurora hunter/guide shares with you science and myth behind aurora. On your way to your first viewing location absorb aurora photography knowledge from your guide. On this tour your driver/guide takes you to several aurora viewing locations for ultimate aurora experience. Complimentary snacks and hot beverages will be provided at your request. After this first fun night of aurora hunting, your driver guide drops you back at hotel.

      Your day starts early with Yellowknife Sightseeing tour. On the tour you learn the history of Yellowknife and visit historical buildings such as the Legislative Assembly, Prince of Whales Northern Heritage museum, old town, and the ice road/ice castle. In the evening, you go on the second night of aurora viewing, it starts with hotel pick up. Your guide shares some camera settings information as your driver takes you to a warm cozy viewing cabin. You enjoy some fresh home made bannock and soup chowder whilst waiting for aurora to dance the night for you. If you wish, try some traditional aboriginal clothes available at your request for spectacular aurora photos. At the end of the tour, your driver will drop you back at the hotel.

By night, you are picked up for a 3-course dinner at Aurora Village lodge. After dinner, you head to a designated tee-pee for the night of aurora viewing. Relax in the warm heated tee-pee and help yourself with hot beverages available for you. Your guide is on the look out for aurora activity and he calls out once aurora comes. After a memorable night of aurora viewing, your driver/guide drops you back at the hotel.
