How is the weather in this adventure?

In Patagonia temperatures can vary greatly depending on the time of the year, you can find average temperatures in the 10C from October to April, or close to 5C with some snowfall in May - September.

Which currency is recommended to bring?

Prices in Puerto Natales and Punta Arenas in Chilean pesos (CLP). Many local places have their prices available in USD and accept USD. The local exchange rate is often much higher than the official rate. Arriving to South America with some USD is appropriate, however there are ATMs in Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales. Before visiting Torres del Paine, you should withdraw money elsewhere, as there are no ATMs in this place and few stores accept credit cards.

In Chille, tipping is common?

Tipping in Chile is common. At a restaurant 10% is generally expected. Guides and porters both expect a tip. Is recommended that each person on the tour leaves 5 to 10 USD per day per staff. A tip is a great way to show your appreciation and feelings about the work and efforts of our staff.

How are the meals on in this adventure?

In cities you may dine in restaurants and have the pleasure of experiencing a variety of local cuisine. Guides prepare meals for clients while on the trail, which feature an abundance of fresh and delicious food. All water in Torres del Paine and Los Glaciares National Parks is safe for consumption without filtering or boiling. Guides can accommodate special dietary requests (vegetarian, food allergies, etc.) as well.

All visitors traveling to Chile are required to have a valid passport. Chile require visitors to obtain a Visitor Visa, however, it is very easy to get one. This visa will allow you to enter the country for 90 days at a time and the duration validity depends on your nationality. Visa can be obtained upon arrival at the airport or via land border crossing.

How can I get from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales (and vice versa)?

This trip is not included, your guide will receive you until you are in Puerto Natales. Day 1 Arrival in Puerto Natales.

Arrival in Puerto Natales.

This adventure begins with a welcome meeting in Puerto Natales at 6:00 p.m. You can take a private transfer from the airport in Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales (not included). The trip is approximately 2.5 hours. On the way you will find the first views of the Patagonian pampa and its residents, guanacos and ñandús. Depending on your arrival time, you can go to the hotel to rest before or after the briefing.
Day 2 Admire the Gray Glacier.

Admire the Gray Glacier.

In the morning you will leave in a private transfer with your guide from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine. The trip will take approximately 2 hours to the entrance of the park, Laguna Amarga. After arriving at the park and register, you will take the catamaran across Lake Pehoe to Paine Grande. Then a 4-hour walk begins through a small forest and then along Gray Lake. Most days this section of the park is very windy. After about 2 hours of walking, you will see Gray Glacier for the first time. You will continue walking for 2 hours until you reach Camp Gray where you will spend the night. Distance: 11 kilometers / 6.8 miles. Time: 4 hours on average.
Day 3 Pahoe LAke Trek
8:00 am - 7:49 pm

Pahoe LAke Trek

In the morning, you will have an energizing breakfast and then you will prepare to walk again. If you wish you can continue beyond the camp with a small backpack for a spectacular view of the glacier and the opportunity to cross one of the famous suspension bridges. Upon returning to Camp Gray, collect all your belongings and start your walk back to Paine Grande where you will camp along the shore of Lake Pehoe. Distance: 11 kilometers / 6.8 miles. Time: 4 hours on average.
