Itinerary of your trip Discover The Quilotoa Lagoon And Trek Enjoying Its View

  • Day 1 Arrival in Quito
    • 10:00 am - 8:00 pm

      Arrival in Quito

Arrive at the Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Quito (UIO), where a tour representative will pick you up and take you to your hotel. It is necessary to inform your guide of your flight schedule at least 30 days before your arrival.

Check-in at the hotel (from 14:00 hrs), and depending on the time of arrival, you have time to start getting to know a little bit of this beautiful city and capital of Ecuador, known for its colonial center, numerous churches and buildings with an architectural fusion between Europeans and Indians.

Rest from your flight and prepare for the next day.

      Meal:  No.

Accommodation: Hotel Mercure (03 stars) or similar - Doble shared room.

Note: Timings in the itinerary are approximate.

  • Day 2 Quito - Tigua - Chugchilan
    • 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

      Quito - Tigua - Chugchilan

Have breakfast and start the adventure towards the south of Ecuador on board of private transportation, through the Avenue of the Volcanoes.

On the way, visit the authentic indigenous markets in one of the nearby towns, such as Saquisli, Pujili, Zumbahua, or Latacunga. These markets represent the economy and are the cultural center of the local indigenous people.

Take advantage of the opportunity to discover different ceramic objects, which are typical of the markets due to a large amount of clay found in the nearby hills. Also, find a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, especially green plantains, threads, used clothing, tools for tilling the soil, and more.

  • Day 3 Trek from Quilotoa to Chugchilan
    • 8:00 am - 11:00 am

      Trek from Quilotoa to Chugchilan

After a nutritious breakfast, appreciate for the first time the majesty of the impressive Quilotoa crater, the most western volcano of the Ecuadorian Andes, with 3 km of diameter where a serene and mysterious green lagoon is found in its interior.

At this point, enjoy beautiful natural landscapes and the beauty of its calm waters as you prepare to start walking.
