Day 1: Delhi

Stop At: Chandni Chowk, Near Red Fort, New Delhi 110006 India
Originally meaning "moonlit square", Chandni Chowk is one of the oldest & busiest markets in Old Delhi. Built in the 17 century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, the market was once divided by canals to reflect moonlight, & it remains one of India's largest wholesale markets.

Stop At: Humayun's Tomb, Mathura Road Opp Nizamuddin Mosque, New Delhi 110013 India
Built in 1565, after nine years of Humayunโ€™s death, the Humayunโ€™s tomb site maintains several other graves, monuments and mosques. In the year 1993 the tomb was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One can see a perfect blending of Rajasthani and Islamic features in the architecture of the tomb. The Char Bagh Garden is one of the major attractions inside the complex. The garden is divided into four squares by paved walkways and beautifully designed water channels.

Located on the ruins of the Lal Kot, the Red Citadel in the city of Dhillika, the Qutub Minar is one of the major attractions in New Delhi and is the tallest minar in India. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, made of red sandstone and marble and is surrounded by several other ancient and medieval structures.The construction of the minar was commissioned by Qutub-ud-din Aibak in the year 1192 and later it was repaired by Firoz Shah Tughlaq and Sikandar Lodi.

The majestic residence of the Mughal emperor of India for nearly 200 years, until 1857. Constructed in 1648 by the fifth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, as the palace of his fortified capital Shahjahanabad, the Red Fort is named for its massive ramparts made of red sandstone. The imperial apartments consist of a row of pavilions, connected by a water channel.ย ย

India Gate is the pride of Delhi. An imposing structure, the gate was built in memory to the of the 90,000 Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during World War. Situated at the at the end of Rajpath, the India Gate is 42 meters high and is a popular as a relaxation area during the summer evenings and a popular picnic spot during winter. Initially called All India War Memorial, the gate was designed and built by Lutyens who is also credited with the designing of New Delhi, the capital of India.

Day 2: AGRA

Constructed from 1631 to 1651 by Shah Jahan as a memorial to his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, the domed mausoleum โ€“ built from white marble โ€“ is considered one of the most extravagant monuments ever built for love. Your guide will share information about its principle Persian designer, and discuss this exemplar of Mughal architecture โ€“ a style borrowed from many traditions including Islamic, Turkish and Indian.

Build by the famed Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565AD, the fort is predominantly of red sandstone. Construction of the massive red sandstone Agra Fort on the bank of the Yamuna River was begun by Emperor Akbar in 1565, though additions were made up until the rule of his grandson, Shah Jahan region it has partially become Palace.

Stop At: Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, Yamuna River, Agra 282001 India
Built between 1622 and 1628 by Empress Nur Jahan for her father, boasts of marble trellis work and inlaid with-precious stones, this mausoleum on the opposite bank of the Yamuna from the Taj, exhibits a strong Persian influence. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Agra โ€“ Jaipur

Stop At: Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti, Fatehpur Sikri India
World Heritage red sandstone complex of Fatehpur Sikri, built in 1569 by Emperor Akbar and abandoned 15 years later due to water scarcity. Take a walk inside the walls of the complex as your guide enlightens you about the Hindu and Muslim architectural style of the sprawling construction,

Fatehpur Sikri is a small city in northern India, just west of Agra, founded by a 16th-century Mughal emperor. Red sandstone buildings cluster at its center. Buland Darwaza gate is the entrance to Jama Masjid mosque. Nearby is the marble Tomb of Salim Chishti. Diwan-E-Khas hall has a carved central pillar. Jodha Bais Palace is a mix of Hindu and Mughal styles, next to the 5-story Panch Mahal that overlooks the site.

The renowned 'Palace Of The Winds', or Hawa Mahal, is one of the prominent tourist attractions in Jaipur city. Located in the heart of Jaipur, this beautiful five-story palace was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh who belonged to Kachhwaha Rajput dynasty. The main architect of this palace built of red and pink sandstone.

Daulat Bagh Garden is a splendid garden with lush greenery and open spaces. This garden was named โ€˜Daulatโ€™ by Shah Jahan due to the diverse variety and greenery it had at that time. However, this garden has been recently renamed as the Subhash Bagh by the civic authorities of Ajmer. There are white marble pavilions on the banks of Ana Sagar where these gardens begin. The garden is primarily known for its natural ambiance, sprawling lawns, and flora. This garden is a nice place for the weekends to enjoy a natural retreat.
